I recently had the incredible opportunity to take a helicopter tour with the amazing pilot Quentin and WOW, what an experience! From the moment we lifted off, everything was absolutely perfect. The flight was smooth and comfortable, the aerial views were breathtaking, and Quentin’s charisma truly elevated the entire journey.

He made us feel safe and at ease right away, with his calm confidence and friendly demeanor. You can tell he’s passionate about what he does, and it shows in every moment of the flight. If you ever get the chance to book with Quentin, do it you’ll be in exceptionally good hands. I can’t recommend him highly enough!

Had a cool experience with the 20 minute discovery tour today celebrating our first anniversary. Our pilot, Lukas Rae, had a great positive energy and was easily approachable. He provided a super gentle ride, which my girlfriend appreciated (I personally would have loved some crazy death-defying stuff but maybe another time).
Seeing some of the cool photos people have shared for up on mountains and remote kayak spots is inspiring. 49 North Helicopters should post these kinds of photos around their building to market those kinds of tours better.

A truly incredible experience. We originally had a tour booked in Whistler and due to bad weather it was cancelled. When we looked for alternative locations 49 North Helicopters came up and did not disappoint! I am uncomfortable with heights but found the pilots’ (Isaiah) confidence and control very comforting. The views were unlike anything I’ve experienced before, and the landing on the mountain top was a bucket list experience. I highly recommend this experience to anyone travelling in the area.

Almost two years later and my husband and I still think about how epic our elopement through 49 North was. People are always so excited to hear about what we did and see the photos (shoutout to Erin Wallis Photography!). Our Officiant that they organized was also awesome. 49 North - specifically Bastian - was so fun and did a great job of flying, landing, and explaining safety around the helicopter. So if you’re worried about flying like me - you’ll be fine! I HIGHLY recommend if you’re considering eloping or even just want to go for a fun tour on a helicopter to do it with 49 North!

Their assistance in making my husband’s birthday so special was greatly appreciated, and the Comox Glacier flight tour was the perfect way to celebrate. I had my very first helicopter flight on September 10 – and what can I say: absolutely sensational!
The 45-minute Desolation Sound Tour with 49 North Helicopters was an experience I will never forget.
Our pilot Isaiah was super friendly, explained a lot, and gave us both a great insight into helicopter flying and wonderful impressions of Vancouver Island.
The price/performance ratio is perfect and, compared to many other providers, even significantly cheaper for the length of the tour.
The 45 minutes went by far too quickly – I would have loved to go for another round straight away.
Since then, I’ve been totally hooked on helicopter flying and want to do it as often as possible, so here’s my unconditional recommendation for 49 North Helicopters.
If you’re on Vancouver Island, don’t miss this tour!
