Price was good. Nice quiet location, had a window AC unit thank god! The room had a little kitchen & 2 beds, but it was really dirty. I even expected it to be based on previous reviews, but it was bad. The owner said he cleaned it and didn't understand English when I asked for cleaning product to do it myself, just said "its clean yes". I didn't even want to shower in bare feet, or sit on the toilet. He says he cleans very well, but I believe in other cultures their cleaning habits are not to the usual standard here in Canada.

I stayed a few days and had a wonderful experience. Yes, it is dated but they are slowly renovating the rooms and they are CLEAN. The owners were VERY accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we were happy and satisfied. All of the staff we encountered were some of the nicest people I have ever met.

Definitely a two star motel. I don’t think anybody ever swims in that swimming pool. Considering it’s a motel one thing that is a great is the fact that there is a stove and a microwave and a kitchenette however the rest… Windows don’t close very well. Only one roll of toilet paper for your whole stay and deafly old fashion. Price in my opinion is high for what it is

If I could give zero stars, I would. I am disgusted with our experience this past weekend. Travellers be warned! I have no idea what improvements the other reviews are talking about. We used to stay here before the hotel switched ownership. It was always retro but clean. This weekend we arrived to a completely different story: grass that hadn't been cut in weeks, the pool looking not maintained, and chaos as to our reservation. Foolishly we paid in cash in advance for our stay when we arrived to ask about early check in (still not sure why we were asked to pay up front since standard hotel procedure is to pay at check out). Our room wasn't ready but they let us put our groceries in the fridge. When we came back later, one of the bed frames was broken. One corner of the bed was sitting on the floor. The gentleman suggested our 8 year old could sleep on that bed (she would've spent the night wedged into the top corner! The bed was at a good 30 degree angle). The ceiling was full of bugs. The carpet was in desperate need of a vacuum. The place was a mess. I did not trust the linens to be free from bed bugs or who knows what else. We pointed out our concerns and told him we didn't want to stay. He said we couldn't have our money back. Apparently they think it's fine to take $150 for a filthy room with a broken bed. Don't waste your money. Don't be cautiously optimistic like I was. This place is a hole. It's very sad to see it ruined like this.

We booked a room at the Kincardinite because our family cottage was full. We're so glad we did and will likely stay again. Compared to the rates at the chain hotels in the area, it was very affordable. Sure, it is a bit dated in that the style is the kind of motel where you pull up to your front door, but everything was very clean and well maintained. I loved all the flowers on the property. Our room was very comfortable and the kitchen was great to have.

The room wasn’t clean needed vacuuming fridge dirty . When we arrived they gave us a single bed. I booked two beds. The on duty front desk person argued with me. I had the confirmation email to prove we ordered two beds there was cobwebs and mold mildew .
We will not coming back here again . We spoke to a few other people and they had the same experience and will not be returning to this motel

We chose this place for its proximity to the beach, and because the rooms offer a kitchen. Beyond that, the room we've stayed in was a clean, quiet place to stay for a night that also had a pool on site and is a short drive or walk to downtown and the marina.

The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cutlery and cookware and the water pressure in the shower is quite strong, but the water can get HOT, so test before getting in. The a/c unit was also robust, and we only needed to turn it on for a few hours, on a low setting.
We spent so much time at the beach that we didn't once turn on the large television in the room, but it seems like it is a decent size for viewing.

Our first overnight stay was pleasant, and we've been back on one other occassion. We have only stayed in one room (on both visits) but the bed is comfortable and the motel is quiet. There is no street noise, we didn't hear the other guests, we appreciate being able to easily access our car and felt that the price was reasonable for the accommodations as they are.
Please note: There was a small discrepancy between the price of the room online, and the total that we were asked to pay on arrival, so please, check for online deals, beforehand, if you are going to consider renting a room.

Otherwise, it is an ok place and we are likely to stay there again, on our next visit in to town.

I booked this motel because many years ago it had been a good “budget” option on crowded weekends in Kincardine and is near to the beach. But oh boy, has this property gone down hill with a vengeance. I paid well over value for a two night stay and left after one night. The room(s) are in terrible condition. The service/staff inattentive and poor. The front door has been kicked repeatedly and there is a crack in the door. Woodwork is cracked and with holes. The carpet is crusty with stains and dirt and has not seen a steam cleaning in eons by the look of it. The bedspreads were stained. The room was not heated in the cool night. The icebox was four inches thick with ice and has not been defrosted in ages. The fridge light does not work . I wiped up a stain on the kitchen floor and the cloth came back black with grime. Holes in walls, spider and dust webs. When I complained and asked staff to come look at the issues I was complaining about, they refused to look. The staff was absent from the location for hours and when I phoned them to get them to come deal with the issues they did not come after saying they would. I had to get the travel agency I used to phone them and complain before they came. They would not refund me of course for the unused last night of my stay. They blamed the owners for the property’s lack of upkeep...but their attitude is also deplorable. And the photos on sites such as Trip Advisor do NOT accurately reflect the state of the rooms (at least the one I was given.)
