Don't let negative people tell you that you'd be wasting your time going to a trade school, more specifically this one. Long before I joined NATS for their welding program I had people in my ear telling me that it wasn't worth or that their program wasn't good. Man was I glad I didn't listen to them because it is the exact opposite. I found their welding program easy to navigate, but also challenging in ways that pushed me to try harder. I met Julia, the teacher that got me started. And then I met Lee, the teacher who got me through it. Honorable mentions to Keith & Sharon for being just as awesome loved the environment and the experience I gained there and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to give it a try.

I graduated from Nats back July from the Hvac program it is truly amazing, the teachers are amazing have to shout out to Bryan , Dave,Rick ,Rob they make feel so welcome . They always have the students back 100% now I am in the field I still go to the school to meet with the teachers.I will recommend Nats 100%

I graduated from NATS HVAC program back in February it was a truely amazing experience. Now that I’m out in the field I can truely say that it was the best decision I made. The instructors are always willing to lead a helping hand and teach you to help better you for your future. Special shout out to Bryan he is truely remarkable at his job, he always has his students backs and has so much knowledge to share, even out in the field now he still helps me even tho I’m no longer one of his students. Ended my program after 6 months into my course for structural and pressure vessel welding due to the “teacher” who is NOT a registered teacher however a former student from the program Lee OLDHAM from St. Thomas Ontario, threatening and making fun of students and when standing up for yourself like I did I was screamed at to get the F out of the school or he would deliberately fail me on a visual just because he could.
I didn’t know that teachers were allowed to threaten and use intimidation tactics on students. Me and my friend were charged 19 thousand dollars and change and when we left and went to an accredited college they said the same program for one year plus blueprint reading and virtual welding as well was only 4.2k they said the trade school was charging us the price that they would charge an international student. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE! Even one of the staff members is moving to PEI getting away and he told me all the teachers are shady and they are so corrupt. Our money is going into their pockets!!! If I could leave negative stars that’s what I would do

Just graduated from the HVAC program at NATS, when I first started the program my knowledge of HVAC was very minimal. Walking out those doors today and looking into my future I feel very confident that I will do well in this trade . I always say “school is what you make it “ if you don’t put in the effort ,ask questions and seek support from your teachers you will not go far . Bryan, Rob , Rick and Dave are all fantastic teachers and are passionate about what they do and want you to succeed. 1000% recommend

The HVAC program at NATS spans 55 weeks of day classes, leading to G3 & G2 gasfitter licenses along with ODP certification. The cost is nearly $20,000. In comparison, similar courses at Fanshawe and other competing colleges run for two years during night classes and cost approximately $4,000. I believe NATS is a better fit if you already have field experience and desire quick licensure or have family commitments. Conversely, if you're young, inexperienced, and wish to gain field experience alongside your studies, Fanshawe might be a better choice. I highly suggest doing your own research, and weighing the pros and cons of each school, deciding which is ultimately best for you.

NATS places a significant emphasis on hands-on learning, with nearly half of class time spent in the lab, a vital aspect of trade education. Additionally, the HVAC program equips you with a very generous set of quality tools.

So far I’ve only had the pleasure of learning from Dave & Brian, so I am only able to speak on them at the time of writing.

Dave takes a highly personalized approach to teaching, emphasizing the importance of building strong student-teacher relationships. While some might interpret this as "hand-holding," it's actually a testament to his dedication to his students' success. Dave goes the extra mile to ensure that struggling students grasp the material, offering guidance and support without simply handing out answers. His teaching style encourages self-discovery and critical thinking, which are essential skills in any field.

Brian, on the other hand, brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and wisdom to the classroom. In his late 70s, he has an accomplished career history as a G1, master electrician, engineer, and business owner. Brian's teaching style also emphasizes a personal connection with his students, often using storytelling to provide depth and context to course materials. These anecdotes enhance the learning experience, making complex concepts more relatable and memorable.

Together, Dave and Brian exemplify effective teaching methods that go beyond traditional instruction, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.

I am happy with my decision to attend NATS and I am confident in my “Cracker Jack box” education.

I'm in the welding program right now and I'm half way threw and already have all my tickets that will help me get jobs in what I want to do, great place for a welding course one down side I would like them to teach the students how to use measuring devices more. I had job experience but can tell not every one who's enrolled have the same experience before hand. But still great school for welding

Absolutely horrible experience. Charge 18k for gas 2 license expedited over 55 weeks. Students in gas 2 are basically left to do whatever they want during classes which is only 2 days a week in class. They seem to have organizational issues from administration. I left after getting gas 3 (great decision)but have kept in touch with fellow students since. They all say the same thing. What a waste of time and money. They learn basically nothing in class and learn only in field with companies they work part time for. Do not waste your money here folks. Go through the mainstream colleges like Seneca, George Brown, Fanshawe etc. This school gets your money and teaches you nothing.
