The EECO centre used to be the best (the only) environmental, educational centre for young families in Kelowna. Recently, the centre was renovated and that completely changed. My children loved capping off a visit to exploring the park by visiting the centre and checking out the fun and informative displays/activities. The space has been reduced by half to add offices, and the children-friendly interactive displays have been severely limited. My kids were completely crushed when they seen what happened. I am completely disappointed with what the centre has become. Kelowna has lost what was once an amazing, kid-friendly, fun educational space.

Our town is bursting at the seams with wonderful educational places! If you come to our city on vacation with children and you want to explore some of our local animals and vegetation, this is an excellent place to take your kids! If you have kids locally and they are not school aged they have some really fun preschool educational hours. I think you can look on the website to find out the times and dates. All their employees are very knowledgable and sweet with young people.

Terrible non-family friendly renovation happened here. The whole interactive center is basically gone and there are only a few cramped informational posts that are hard to even read in the small space. My daughter and her friend were so excited to see the center was open again. They left totally disappointed, shocked and the kids actually cried! It looks like lots of office space for staff, but there is no longer an interactive educational center there at all. The one staff person kept her eyes glued to her computer screen, and when I asked her what the reasoning was for cutting the public space in half and cutting out all the education for children - she said the staff didn't like all the kids running around there as it made it feel like a daycare. Children and families are not welcome here! Wow.

Hi war heute zum ersten mal hier. Sehr schön und informativ. Sehr freundliches Personal ideal für Familien. Es sind ein paar Tiere ausgstopft und ausgestellt. Sogar lebende Bienen im Stock. Einige kostenlose Broschüren für Touren ect. Kleiner Spielplatz, Kostenloses parken. Direkt am Fluss zum Mission Creek Park. Im Fluss kommen die Lachsforellen zum Leichen hin. Alles sehr schön.
