I recently stayed at this place and had a wonderful experience. The entire space was incredibly clean, and the surroundings were peaceful and calming. There was a cozy bonfire area, perfect for relaxing in the evenings. The accommodation included a bunk bed, along with separate rooms and washrooms for men and women, which was very convenient.

The kitchen was well-equipped with all the basic necessities and utensils, and it was spotless. The living room was another highlight—warm and inviting, stocked with a variety of games, magazines, and books to enjoy during downtime. Additionally, the place was very budget-friendly, offering great value for money without compromising on quality.

Overall, I had a great stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable, and enjoyable retreat.

Loved our stay here! Everything is kept very clean and it feels like a safe place to stay. I would highly recommend a stay, especially if you are an outgoing or extroverted personality! It was so fun to meet people from other places and hang out around the campfire here.

I stayed the night after a snowboard trip with friends and I will definitely be coming back in the future. It was an amazing experience. The other guests were friendly and respectful the rooms were clean and the sauna was awesome. Not have any service only added to the experience. Janet is also amazing! When I managed to forget my snow-pants, Janet quickly replied to my email and helped get them back to me.

This a a perfect place to stay during any season. It has kitchen attached with common room. There are all kind of utensils, fridge, gas and oven to cook. This facility fully operated with natural resources.

Moreover, rooms are also organised. It has nice warm blankets and a heater but floor gets really cold while temperature goes below-15.

There are 3 toilets which is clean but No lights or heater so It might feel cold in winter. Don't forget to use sauna. It was a great experience seating in sauna burning fire wood and enjoy steam while outside was below -15.

This is NOT a party hostel. It is a great wilderness hostel where you actually talk to people, and sit around a campfire or light up the wood fired sauna and gaze at stars or the moon, rather than stare blankly at your smartphone like other hostels. It is small, 2 coed dorms each having 12 beds, but even the dorms are quiet due to the absence of late night partiers. Oh, due to Covid, each cabin is somewhat divided into 2, 6 person sleeping areas for a total of 12 people in each of 2 cabins. A decent kitchen with fridge, stove and cooking utensils, a common area, and great manager (Richard) make me recommend this hostel highly for those looking for a rustic, warm, yet comfortable night’s sleep. And the outhouses are CLEAN and have no smell at all!! No worries! I really like the upgraded, wood burning sauna and highly recommend trying it. You might even see a bear bum or a bare bum around the sauna:) Haha! Both exist in this wonderful place!! Nature at it's absolute finest! Last thing I forgot to mention, there are 2 private cabins if you like with a shared kitchen between the 2 private sleeping areas if that works better for you. And you can still use the sauna and campfire pit, etc.
