Worst school ever I've gone to. I had told them when I started going there that I had selective mutism and that It was very stressful for me to deal with. When I went mute they had pushed me to talk and threaten to call 911 if I didn't talk. Said I could've been overdosing. Do not enroll your troubled children here, they're better off anywhere else. They will not help your child, they will just throw work at them and expect them to do it with out any guide.

HORRIBLE SCHOOL. this school is an ALTERNATIVE school which is meant for kids with learning disabilities and people who struggle in a normal school setting, and this school does not at all help with that. the principal Oscar Steel is an absolute horrible human being and should be arrested and charged for all the things he’s done. he’s trapped students in room with staff member Dianna Rottaire, he’s racist, he makes fun of kids for graduating late and for their mental disabilities, he screams at kids and staff members in private and public, and more. for Dianna Rottaire she’s the exact same as Oscar Steel as she is racist and also belittles every student at this school. the other staff member all harass the kids 24/7, scream at them, belittle them, suggest they go home and don’t come back, etc. A little back story about just my experience (i’m currently a student at bowness discovering) i came here hoping to get my high school education in a school built to support kids and make them feel comfortable but i was given the complete opposite and i still struggle with major anxiety coming into school everyday. I had ONE meeting with Oscar Steel and he started to laugh at me telling me a diploma wasn’t for me as i’m a year behind and i should just drop out. i sat there crying and he just sat there staring at me until he began to laugh at me. He constantly screams at me and my piers to the point where my heart drops every time i hear a voice similar to his. None of us can walk into this school without panicking as we don’t know who’s going to scream at us and about what. This isn’t even all of it. Us students under go severe mental abuse everyday so please help us get this school shut down as well as some new staff, we have probably two staff who are lovely and the rest are just horrible. (props to Kevin and Sue who both work downstairs they’re absolutely amazing.)

Lovely place, I went in 2018 to upgrade my English, teachers are absolutely fantastic, Janine, who runs the location is Phenomenally supportive. Lots of options and courses to take for fun aswell.
