Coaldale, AB, ROC Church Nestled in a small residential community, @ 1220-
23St Coaldale, AB, it looks like a traditional church, but from the moment you walk in the doors, you feel welcomed. The foyer is buzzing with people visiting and children laughing as they meet up with friends before they head to Sunday school classes. The sanctuary lighting is non-traditional, as the overhead lighting is dimmed, the stage lighting seems more like you’re walking in to a theatre or concert. Honestly the dimmed lights make you feel less self conscious, and seem less intimidating for those who often feel anxious about going to a new church. because the people are focused on praise and worship, and leaving the stresses of the world outside, so they can focus completely of growing a closer spiritual connection with God. After the music is done, Pastor Darryl Harms, speaks from his heart, teaching the Word, in a very genuine manner, with easy to understand wording, using modern real life context. Finding this gem of a church was like finding the home I had never known before. It’s a safe place, where ALL people are accepted. It’s Not About Religion. It’s About Having A Relationship With God., Everyone Matters! Recently ROC Church has partnered with My City Care, and began collecting good clean used clothing, footwear, and accessories in June of 2024. On September 27,2024 they had a very successful Pop up Store in their parking lot, where anyone in need was and going forward will always be welcome to come and fill bags with the items they needed most. All items are provided FREE of charge to anyone in need. They are currently still looking for a permanent central location within Coaldale to set up a Boutique.

What a wonderful kids ministry!!!! My kids were so pumped telling me all about it ❤️ Minnie is top notch running the children’s ministry. The kids there were friendly and open armed making them feel so welcome. Worship was awesome!!!!! The lights the effects the drums very youth friendly and exciting. Awesome selection of songs and great songs to get stuck in your head. Songs that encourage and strengthen and remind you who’s you are.greeters at the door and congregants were precious, warm friendly and very welcoming. Pastor was so easy to talk to, warm friendly and born to bring hope to a world so in need.
