Right off the highway is access to a number of stores, convenient and quick to zip in and zip out to grab items as you're passing through or for regular trips. Staples, Dollar ama, No Frills, A&W, Starbucks, Noodlebox, Telus, Canada Post, Auto Parts, and Walmart are all located within this area.

Plus, exceptional views of Mount Arrowsmith if coming in off Cherry Creek Road. It's probably most picturesque in fall when the leaves turn a brilliant shade of red. Kind of hard to do it justice with my current camera. It's yet another sneakily beautiful vista that Port Alberni offers.

We visited Port Alberni in the summer of 2019, and went to the Pacific Rim Shopping Centre quite often. There are a number of large format grocery stores like Walmart and Tyler's No Frills located here and they have a large common parking area. Some of the other dominant stores are Dollarama, Staples, and an A&W Canada hamburger outlet. The Centre is right next to Vancouver Island's Highway No.4, also known as the Pacific Rim Highway. It is a convenient stopover as you drive to Ucluelet and Tofino.
