What a wonderful reception! Staffs were so welcoming, friendly and organized, I had a tour of facilities with the principal and it was so beautiful. The principal is super friendly. I m glad my kids are students of this lovely catholic school.

I went here from kindergarten to gr 6 Most of the teachers here were rude the whole time the bathrooms were disgusting we weren’t allowed on the only outside basketball court in the school at recess and no one ever punished kids at the school seriously enough. Their was a kid last year that called the cops with a phone they snuck in saying they were getting murdered and robbed and the principal only showed the kid’s parents the call
They also never did anything about bullying

i went to this school gr. 1-3, and for context, i'm asian with brown skin and an immigrant; i was treated so unfairly by staff AND students. for 2 months straight as a 5 year old, i was an outcast and barely had any friends because i didn't speak english. i was picked on for my foreign features, and there were times where white kids were treated much better than me. no matter what they did or i did wrong. every bullying that i experienced was swept under the rug. no surprise here, my bullies were white kids! i was a smart student back then, and despite that, i was babied and treated as if i were a toddler. punishments for my lashing out (which, under the environment i was under, i feel as though is VERY appropriate) were much more severe compared to the kids who bullied me. "torment, physical abuse? but he's white! he gets a scolding!" but when it comes to me? "lashing out? definitely not! she will get a yelling and she will be outcast from all discussion for the rest of the day!". it got so bad that for my 6th birthday, i wished that i could speak english better so i could connect to other kids more. it became so frequent that i considered this treatment normal. and let me emphasize this; NO KIDS (IN GENERAL) AT 5-8 YEARS OLD SHOULD EVER, EVERR THINK THAT RACIAL BIAS IS A NORMAL TREATMENT TOWARDS THEM.

of course, this happened a couple of years ago, and i like to hope that this school has flourished and grown to be a more accepting and diverse place, but i can't be silent when this school has opened me to racism/racial bias at such an early age.

(i would also like to add on; i asked some of my friends who attended this school if they had a similar experience, all said yes to at least one experience that i had to go through [they are all POC])
