At the beginning of last summer my husband and I felt that our oldest daughter needed some guidance with her study skills and to work more on reading comprehension. We had her assessed and she reluctantly committed to go three times a week for all summer and then we’d see what the new school year would be like. It’s the best decision we’ve ever made! The team at Sylvan has helped her gain the confidence and understanding that she was missing and she has exceeded all expectations in half the time we thought she would need!! With their guidance and her determination she has become a better listener, she is less frustrated and wants to learn! And she’s only on Grade 8! Surprisingly, she is even fine with taking a few hours out of her social time to go to Sylvan and continue to hone in on the all the skills that will help her academically in the years to come. Sylvan is worth every penny!!!

I wish Sylvan Learning Chestermere was my sons full time school and not just his reading tutor! The teachers are so kind and patient. Unlike the regular school classroom, they do not move on to a new learning subject until the child has mastered it and this has made all the difference in success for my child. If one method of teaching doesn't work they try another and another until the child is able to grasp the material. Sylvan is a financial and time commitment but it is very worth it!!

Our daughter has been falling behind at school with her math. When the public school she attends didn’t have access to offer extra help for her we turned to Sylvan Learning. She has completed 6 weeks thus far and we have witnessed her confidence and understanding grow. The tutors have made her feel comfortable attending her sessions. Our son was far below his grade level in reading & comprehension. Over the Summer with hard work and amazing teachers, his confidence has been boosted and has made huge strides in catching up to his grade level. Debbie and her team have been a great support for my Son with increasing his confidence and skills related to literacy. We are 6 weeks in and I am already noticing big improvements! Our experience at Sylvan Learning Chestermere has been exceptional. Deborah and her staff really go the extra mile to connect with the kids and make sure everyone is reaching their goal. Our son went from working on skills at a grade 2 level to working his grade 7 grade level in 5 months. Well worth the investment! We would highly recommend this to anyone who’s child is needing extra help with school.
