I've been meaning to write this review since Christmas (oops...), but the very positive shopping and customer service experience I had at Strides still stays with me months later.

I was looking for a pair of light weight running pants for a family member. Looking online is where most of us begin the shopping experience these days. But pants?! There are so many and it's tricky to know exactly what the fabric feels like and sizing especially when buying for someone else. Once I made the wise decision to go into the store, the staff (Lyon!) were very helpful in finding me different options within my price range. It ended up that they didn't have the exact size I needed in store, so they had it sent in from a Calgary location. They texted me right away for pickup within 4 days. Great staff who not only talk the talk of running, they walk (run?) the walk. Thank you!

Dropped in to discuss chronic foot issue and the good/bad and ugly of variety of current & past running shoes. Lyon was amazingly gracious with his time, advice and responsiveness to my needs. Found thee right shoe I believe. Super exceptional my experiences have always been at Strides -irrespective of location/staff. Will never go elsewhere.

Strides is by far one my favourite experiences in the Bow Valley. From having very knowledgeable, friendly staff, to be being quite accommodating, they do their absolute best to assist you with achieving your dreams in terms of road/trail running as well as light hiking. As a person who lives the straight edge lifestyle, they also have amazing non-alcoholic beer which I would highly recommend on top of their amazing sports wear. Easily the best place in the Bow Valley for all your running, needs.

Fantastic experience with Kylie helping narrow down the perfect shoe for the issues I was dealing with. A very knowledgeable, no pressure approach to getting me fitted. Really loved the treadmill to help reassure me that I made the right choice. Excellent local shop I highly recommend 🙂

My item was shipped from the Canmore location and every interaction I had over the phone with the staff members was a very pleasant experience. They were extremely kind answering all my questions regarding my order, very polite and were genuinely helpful.

I came to this area in an attempt to get into the walk in medical clinic next door. No luck there so we wandered into Strides and it was an amazing experience honestly. Retail has become so robotic, unfriendly and lacking of real knowledge. Lyon is the man. I told him what I needed and he came out within no time with multiple options. He helped me find two awesome pairs of shoes really quickly (and I love quick shopping) and he is just such a friendly and caring guy overall. You can tell that he is passionate about running and thus about Strides. Also got some great non-alcoholic beer at the register! Lyon not only cut open boxes to make me a mixer pack but also made sure that the drinks were cold! I was drinking one a few minutes later and it was delicious. Props to Lyon and Strides, Canmore needs stores like this to stick around and fight the big corporation trying to push their way into the historic town of Canmore. Go Lyon and go Strides!

The staff took the time to ask about my trail running goals and recommended a local trail that ended up being a highlight of my trip.

The store itself is a sight to behold - neat, tidy, and chock-full of everything a runner could ever need. I couldn't resist picking up some Lululemon gear at a great price.

All in all, I have to give a big thumbs up to Canmore Strides. They've nailed the art of providing personalized attention to their customers, and it truly makes all the difference. If you're a runner visiting Canmore, this store should be at the top of your must-visit list. Trust me, your feet (and your wallet) will thank you. Thanks for the amazing experience, Strides Canmore!
