Courts are very slow and bad at scheduling. Took a friend who had court, the papers said be there for court at 9:30. Well it turns out they schedule EVERYBODY for 9:30, and there’s 20-30 people here. And the duty council said come back and talk to him at 10:30 (an hour later). After an hour and a half he came out, but he hadn’t even talked to the crown prosecutor yet. So waiting even longer, was planning on being out of the courthouse by 10:00-10:30. It’s 11:30 and still nothing. Useless government. Useless system. Shouldn’t take this long, or at least properly schedule people. If that means opening the courts longer, they should. The courts shouldn’t only be open for 5 hours

Terrible, corrupt court house where you can be charged without evidence of a crime. They can and will charge you without a crime being committed. (This court attempted to send me on a "Starlight Tour") The judge and police took my license and left me stranded hours away from the city I lived in which was Sherwood Park juring the middle of winter with no way to get home while I had a babysitter watching my kids for what was supposed to be a few hours, I was stranded long after the courthouse was closed and just hours from night time cause nightfall comes early in the winter, by 4 or 5pm it can be totally night!!! They threatened me with criminal charges and jail sentences when I tried to sit in my vehicle to keep warm till I could reach someone to help me before my cell phone died or I would be in even more serious life threatening danger. It's been a couple years now and I'm still disturbed that the law enforcement in this area is so corrupt.

For the past week I have tried to pay a traffic ticket online. The system took the ticket number but says it can't be found. So on 30 Nov '21, I called to see when I could come in to pay a traffic ticket at the Didsbury Prov Court. I got a recording that told me to get a pen ready. I was given info about court appearances and a number to call in Calgary, with a warning that missing a court date could be followed by an arrest warrant. No mention of how to pay a traffic ticket. Covid 19 is an excuse for every disservice they can think of.

I was railroaded in a criminal case and the judge Judy Shriar lied many times in the court to conclude her pre-conceived notion that I was guilty before being tried. She ignores pertinent evidence and exhibits prejudice. She is notorious for making judgmental decisions based on assumptions. Not an honest court and are legalized criminals running this or shall I say ruining our country. If you have court matters...do not go here! If you have a choice...move your matters to the city courts!

Drove an hour to dispute a ticket, might have been the busiest Friday as the line up was insane. What a joke...judge barely stopped talking long enough for me to answer yes or no. Wasn't given the chance to explain. Let down by our justice system once again! Beware if you are having to appear in this court.

I am very upset with this court. It is very slow, and when it is your turn, they do not allow you to explain your status, they judge you without hearing anything from you.☹️

Online it says the court house is open until 1pm on Fridays. I got there at 12:30pm and the door was locked. Not impressed as I left work early and lost hours and spent money on gas to get there from out of town.
