I've had tonsilitis over and over again for years. Was in there about a week ago and got antibiotics for it, went back today cause my tonsilitis is back. They wouldn't listen to me at all and cut me off when I was trying to tell them whats been going on. They just assumed it was covid, they asked me if I was vaccinated and when I said no the nurse rolled her eyes at me. Waited for over an hour in the waiting room because they didn't have an isolation room for me (cause it makes sense to sit with the other 6 people in the waiting room then get into a room in the back) anyways I ended up leaving and I won't be back

My husband went in to emergency this morning at the DVH. He's been complaining of intense neck pain the past couple days and didnt think much of it but thought he should get checked out since doctors know better. Well he did get checked out this morning, kind of. Doctor kind of looked at him and decided he only had a stiff neck and needed a massage, prescribed him muscle relaxants and sent him off. Well I ended up taking a closer look at his neck and found a large bumpy rash on his neck where the pain stemmed from, we called 811 and told them his symptoms and we were told to go get checked out Asap. Well he went to the Mayerthorpe emerge and was told he for sure has Shingles and good thing he came to get checked soon because there's a small window to treat it, and that he should Not go to work since he works with seniors, and its contagious. Overall I'm not happy about DV emerge how they dealt with my hubby. What if it was something Way more serious?! Is there a policy doctors cant check things out more thoroughly? If there is then patients should know about this.
Therefore one star.

We were in the area camping and my son had an emergency. The nurse and doctor were top notch and made him very comfortable. They helped us immediately. Thank you so much!
