As a former student here (now graduated HS), I agree with a lot of the comments here.
I developed some good relationships with teachers but otherwise it was lacklustre, if not bad.
Discrimination/racism (I’m white) against me was huge. I was called all sorts of things just for being white and nothing was ever done about it.
Bullying was also rampant and it was one of the major factors to having mental health issues apart from the overload of work and such. Very toxic friendships too.
Mental health supports were not there at all until something got flagged on my system and they brought in a councillor once every two weeks or so, though I doubt there was much chance anyways. Don’t even know if they’re still coming.
As much as I liked some of the teachers there,
I’m happy to have gotten out of there.

I been a student at this school for 6 years, Looking back this school brings nostalgic memories, I thrived here during my early elementary years academically and mentally. The staff and teachers are all nice and still are nice from the time I left, but during the years of junior high. Matter’s got out of hand, delinquency, bullying , online bullying, fights , vaping , lewed behaviour and drug use within the students became an unfortunate trend. Students who did not conform to the delinquent ideology were outcasts, individuals who were outcasted had to assimilate to the delinquent ideology. I was saved when my parents decided to remove me from this school, and reflecting back I am grateful for the change, my grades have improved and I feel more at peace finishing my 9th year of school in a different school then this. Please do not blame the staff for the way the school is, somethings are out of their power to control.

Decided to move me down a lvl in gr2 because I didn’t understand one math concept. Struggled in school till grade 9 when I transferred. Teachers held me back and never kept me up with my peers no matter how hard I studied and tried to prove myself to them. They wouldn’t let me take finals in the end.
Teachers completely ignored me my last week of school. Had teachers targeting me my whole experience from the age of only 6-13.
Sick excuse of a school. I have 80s now that I’ve moved with the help of my teachers.

Lots of discrimination too. Not a care in the world for the indigenous or minority cultures in the school

My granddaughter is being bullied at this school. Last week she went to have her lunch and every time she went to sit at a table she was told she couldn't sit there. I am at the point where I believe the police need to get involved as the staff know about the situation and nothing has changed. I believe all bullys need to be expelled from school for the remainder of the year.

my son whos in grade 8 came home one day complaining about how there are these few female students in his grade saying the n word on a daily basis. my son tried telling a teacher but they just ignored them and kept on walking. this school needs to fix up and be serious about racism and bullying

Awesome school! All of the old reviews are 4+ years old and bye all former students who can't handle work. Plus Ms. MacK is the best teacher. They have a nice playground and lots of education

It’s a good school. Everyone is kind and accepting and if you develop relationships with the teachers they are all very kind. I’m glad we have a great school in our neighborhood.
