Not impressed. They charged me $104.82 for 10 minutes. All I had them do was run a scan as the service engine light was on. Most places I've stopped to have this done have not charged me. They seen an older lady traveling alone and took advantage. I will be buying my own scanner, running the codes as required, and calling my mechanic to confirm the urgency of any work. Oh, and by the way, the brakes were absolutely fine .. just dust and a rock!!
And its a good thing I have a conscience as I could have driven off with the scanner and screen that had been left in my vehicle. I'm sure they are great at what they do but this was simple greed on there part.

I am giving a 5 star review on how they handled the negative review they have recieved from the person Patricia davis. It's hard to believe a person can be so miserable and cheap that they would expect free service from a company and complain about it and try to hurt a company when they don't get free service . I hope she reads this and deletes her bad review . We don't go to any other store and expect free stuff ,why would you do that to a mechanic. Sorry to hear this happened.

I can't even begin to describe how positive my experience has been. Old fashioned service with the latest technology and the nicest team ever. Helped out even when they didn't have to and stood by their work. I wish I could give more stars. Amazing team.

Mini Cooper Mechanic Needed?

An absolute fantastic experience and overall service. The family that runs Allmac are super informative, educational as they both go out of the ordinary, to explain what may need to be done, what parts are needed, and also everything is completed within a very reasonable time frame. Great auto mechanic experts here! I highly recommend this place, any questions I had were answered, and then further more explaining the process so that I know what's going to happen. People that run businesses, don't usually take the extra time to explain things to their customers. These mechanics in town do great work on European vehicles, I highly recommend!

Thank you Allmac Repair for your wonderful service!!! You are pleasantly professional,  courteous, efficient & thorough!
In April 2023, my car had a coolant leak. I knew where the leak was & it had been temporarily patched but needed to be fixed properly.
I had tried to get it fixed at OK Tire in Port Hardy. They completely wasted 3 weeks of my time claiming they couldn't get the information they needed from Mitsubishi.
Having lost all patience with them, I went to Allmac in Port McNeill at the recommendation of a friend.
Though I did not have an appointment,  they took a look at the car.
In 1 DAY they were able to confirm with Mitsubishi what part was needed.
4 days later they received the part and in 2 hours had me all fixed up and back on the road.
They were courteous,  professional,  efficient & thorough!
In an area of the Island where choices are very limited; Allmac is a JEWEL!!
Thank you Allmac!!

Worked with me to get my 2004 Chevy Astro Van quickly up and running after the alternator failed on Malcom Island. The work was completed to a high quality and they were very honest and upfront with the cost of the repair. The repair ended up costing less than the original quote. Highly recommend.

I don't normally write reviews, but I felt compelled to after a frustrating visit to the GMC dealership in Port Hardy. I booked an appointment as my check engine light in my Silverado came on. They checked the codes and told me it was the MAF sensor, and that they cleaned it, retested, and it was working fine. 15 minutes down the highway after leaving Hardy, the light came back on. I drove back to the dealership, and they said I would have to come back a week later, but it would be on them since they failed to fix the problem...

Luckily, I asked a friend for a recommendation to a competent and trustworthy mechanic. One of his recommendations was Allmac, and I was able to get my truck in there the next morning. The mechanic at Allmac diagnosed and fixed the problem that morning. He showed me a picture of the dirty sensor filament. He had cleaned it, and taken the truck for a test drive to measure readings on the engine and make sure the problem was solved and everything was reading fine. He was even generous enough with his time to answer the questions I had.

Dealing directly with the person doing the work is the way to go. I fully support small business and wish I had of just came here to begin with.

I don't need a wash or a coffee made for me by a sales person, just so she can try and sell me a sixty thousand dollar truck. I just want the problem I came in for to actually be fixed.
