Spruce Grove Playschool has been an absolute dream for our family. We spent four years at the school between my son & daughter and it was the most incredible introduction into the school setting. We had the pleasure of being in Ms. Radmila & Ms. Ricki's room for all four years with the school. I didn't even know it was possible to be so patient with toddlers, every time I help in the classroom I am blown away by their ability to keep calm and turn every single interaction into a learning experience / conversation with the children.

The past year my daughter got to share the park / field with Ms. Kristine's & Ms. Jordan's class and she loved interacting with the younger class, as well as the new teachers. She would talk more about these teachers and her positive interactions with them throughout the year and if I had more kids, I would not hesitate for a second to enrol them in the other class.

The nurturing environment the play school fosters isn't just for the students, I found it welcomed many like-minded families and it's been a blessing to meet and build friendships with many different parents at the school. I honestly couldn't imagine surviving the toddler years without some of the friendships built at this school.

I highly recommend Spruce Grove Playschool!

Our experience with Mrs. Kristine and Mrs. Jordan was underwhelming to say the least.
Starting Play school is a big deal for the child and the parents and I feel like they both need a lot of work on their abilities to make the children and parents feel comfortable. There was little to no eye contact for most of the year during pick up and drop off. You always had to approach Mrs. Kristine for any type of feed back and honestly there was little positive feedback at all!
My child always wanted a hug at the end of the class and I honestly felt like they both seemed burdened by this.
I did not feel like they are passionate about what they do and it comes across like they are just doing a job.
Considering this is many children’s first experience away from home I really expected the teachers to be much more warm and welcoming.
Although I have heard great things about Mrs. Radmila and she was always very friendly anytime I interacted with her in the lounge. She would smile make eye contact and genuinely seemed happy to be there which is to be expected. I wish I would have registered for her class.
Mrs. Jordan was especially unfriendly.
I know something was said regarding the way she handled the children and only then did she start to say hi and smile from time to time which was very inauthentic.
Whenever I volunteered I noticed that Mrs. jordon would sit in one spot most of the class and really didn’t engage with me or the kids. She would check her phone frequently and just seemed to be grumpy and uninterested.
She even made a negative comment right in front of me to Mrs. Kristine about how the kids just don’t get it when they were all getting their winter gear on. It was very obvious that she is not fit to work with young children and is very immature.
I would have never registered for this class if I would have known that the teachers were going to be so unenthusiastic towards the children.

I loved the idea of this school and the staff was friendly but if you have a hyperactive child that needs a lot of attention or a more one on one kind of program please go through the school boards early eduction program. We have had 0 negative reports about our son in this first week he's been in this new programing.

Where at SGPS we felt our son was labeled almost from day 1 by this year's teacher and we were told either an adult needed to come or he wasn't welcome alone because they couldn't handle him which was terrible and definitely not the best first ever school experience for us. Like I said if your child is hyper or has behaviours don't waste your excitement or money. Parkland county's early eduction is much better and has actually been working with us not expecting us to just handle it all.
