Very few nice and caring teachers, got bullied for years and told teachers and almost none of them cared. One of my current teachers at the school is incredibly biased and whenever I end up talking to the assistant principal or main principal she lies about the situation at hand and blames me for things I never did. I do have many memories with my friends inside the school and it makes me want to give this a higher review, but the staff have messed up my year to many times to allow myself to do that. I do not mean any disrespect to Mr Cable and other staff members with this review, I’m just being as honest as possible.

My son had the pleasure of transferring to West Haven after spending 3 months at Leduc Jr. High, where he was bullied, let down by the teachers and had to see a counselor (who didn't do any good). His report card after the first term was depressing. In November he transferred to West Haven as we had moved into the catchment. West Haven was like a breath of fresh air. The teachers at West Haven seem to be good natured and fun. My son, who is in grade 8 really enjoys the school. He says there aren't any bullies, the kids are generally good and the teachers are fair. The school was built in 2016 and although it is already too small for the number of students attending, they do a pretty good job educating the kids, communicating, keeping the place clean and tidy and utilizing all the newest tech. Best of all, my son's term 2 report card reflects the great work they are doing at the school.

Have had nothing but positive experiences with this school and the teachers my daughter has been assigned to. They truly care about the well being of their students and have gone above and beyond during the pandemic to accommodate students and help them excel.

Worst school to bring ur kids to tbh they like to EXPEL kids with mental health problems when they realize mental illness isn’t easy to manage and is included in day to day life but they will keep accepting physically+mentally disabled kids who might as well not even have a home room and get to go on many many walks a day plus only learn very few things a day but I get screamed at by the principal mr cable to ‘make better decisions’ becasue i can’t focus or stay in class no matter how hard I try but I would get sent to the office when i needed a walk/break there punishments are unfair and different everytime there are always teachers surrounding the girls bathroom and even male teachers go in there if they see you with your phone or anything like that plus the non completely certified councillor telling multiple girls that go to her to talk about how mr wrinsky was weird with them and she pretty much told them there’s not enough people saying these things to do anything about it even though EVERY Jr high student knows about mr wrinsky and the placed he likes to look (he’s a super nice and understanding person besides this) but this school is beyond messed up and there favourite thing to do is act like it’s the best school ever and there’s no problems
