Poor management, taking advantage of employees

My first day TLC mandatory training is not paid, kitchen manager told me to take the training at home and I cannot start working without completing it. Found out from coworkers that the 6 hours training should be paid.

They provided wrong date of birth on my Dental & extended health benefits.

Later on I found out that I don't have extended health premiums account in Sunlife but I got deductions every pay. I asked for a refund but the general manager refuse it. I called the union for help and they only refunded the amount they deducted after I cancel it. That's why they are still deducting health premiums even after I cancel it so that they have something to refund.

THE WHOLE MANAGEMENT IN SEASONS OLDS ENCORE IS A JOKE.

It is absolutely terrible how they have deem it acceptable to not rectify the issues urgently with residents and their family members, who have voiced concerns around the diarty, and nutritional requirements of their residents. As someone who has worked in nursing homes for many years, the little amount of food that is being served, is considered resident abuse. It is unacceptable.

Residents who have families to advocate for them, are fortunate and yet the requests are going ignored by management.

It should have taken one call and the issue should have been resolved, instead family members are getting the run around by upper management.

It is unacceptable and I would highly recommend placing your loved one in a facility/residence that takes pride in care of their residence.

Integrity is something management and this facility lacks immensely.

This facility is literally starving its residents. The GM should be fired. If you care about your family members, don't allow them to reside here.

You claim is absolutely false. A picture speaks a thousand words, and the amount of food on their plate wasn't significant for a child, let alone a whole adult. So don't be trying to assert that my claim isn't facts. I encourage everyone to look "Didsbury Discussions" page on FB to see the evidence for yourselves.

Very disappointed in the management of this place. There are a few people here that actually care about the residents but overall it was nothing other than shameful how my father was cared for. Nothing that was agreed to for care ever happened. We had to hire outside help for care while we found a great place in Red Deer.
Mouse traps in the rooms and mice in the toilet paper. Due to the fact that no one ever removed any food Or had any idea of Dad had eaten or drank anything
10-15 minutes from call button to response?
Compared to other places they kept residents locked in and isolated. The meals when this happened were horrible. Who puts salad in a styrofoam container with pork chops and potatoes?
If your parent has no one advocating for them this would not be a good choice.

My father is in 4D level and is missing a multitude of clothing items, I have contacted the manager of the facility and also the manager of his floor A. I left several messages and have not had any return calls. Shows lack of respect for family members.

Treats residents horribly, dining is even worse, management then gives family's with concerns and evidence, the run around and cancels meetings with them and calls am hour before the time and all the family will get is a

"sorry I'll reach out soon" from the GM

Makes me sick to my stomach, deserves to be shut down and the eldery properly taken care of.

Dad has been here for a few years. He has made friends with other residents and staff. The staff is caring and attentive.
