We recently welcomed our first baby with Ashley and her student midwife Anika, and we are so grateful for them!! Ashley provided amazing care from the first appointment - gave tons of evidence based information, answered my many questions, and helped me keep calm and happy through my whole pregnancy.
When it came time for our daughter to come, Ashley and Anika made sure that her and I were both safe during labour and delivery and we had an amazing experience at the hospital here in Medicine Hat. Having home visits postpartum was also wonderful!! Thanks again for everything ladies!!

Words cannot express our satisfaction and gratitude for Medicine Hat Midwives. The professionalism, knowledge, expertise and love cannot be beat.

We had Ashley as our midwife, but also received support from Rachel throughout the pregnancy and postpartum- both were excellent.

Throughout my pregnancy, Ashley was present, kind, patient and informed. She always answered my (many) questions was so patient with addressing my anxious mind. She never seemed annoyed or too busy with my concerns.

When comparing my experience to that of women who use doctors, I found I had much more in depth, personalize and frequent care.

I know some people’s concerns with midwives is “what is there is an emergency and we don’t have a doctor…” well I was one of the unlucky ones who had labor complications and things went south with a potential risk to my baby. And I could not be more grateful Ashley was the one managing it. She was wildly supportive throughout my entire labor, and then when things worsened she was extremely aware and professional in recognizing her professional boundaries and limits and called in for doctor support without hesitation. Even with a very traumatic birth experience, I would go with MHM in a heartbeat.

One of the greatest benefits of using a midwife is the in-depth postpartum care of multiple home visits and so much love and support, for you and your baby.

I cannot express my appreciation for Ashley and her team, and I want to shout out so loudly my resounding referral for their care!

I cant say enough good things about Ashley. As a first time mama, she was there for any question or concern I had through it all the last 10 months and I am forever grateful for her. She made me feel so safe, respected and cared for more than I have experienced with any other doctor/care provider. She made this whole experience so much better, even during the hard times. I am sad to be done with my time at the clinic but I know where I am going if I ever find myself on this journey again.
