Took the Articulated Rock Truck Training and can proudly say it's set me up with the knowledge needed in the field. I had a really good time during my 3 weeks here and would 100% recommend people go to IHE at this location. 🙂

Excellent school to learn heavy equipment. I’m taking a 3 week course on a Wheel Loader. Tuition is expensive but I think it’s worth it.

Almost 10 years ago this coming February I took the articulated rock truck training. Passed with flying colors. And guess what? Had my resume all over Alberta. Got one job in Crowsnest Pass. But funny thing is when they hired me they really cut my hours short. Couldn't make ends meet. I continued getting my resume out there. And nobody would call me back. I wish I never spent that 6 or 7 grand on that course. Had I known I wasn't gonna get a decent job anywhere doing this I would have never taken this course.

One thing they don't tell you off the bat is you have to fit into a certain clique. You can't just be a good heavy equipment operator. Yes you need that too but if you don't fit in with a certain clique, you're not getting hired.

IHE is the best school to attend for HEO training! The instructors are there to help but they also let you learn by doing. Nothing beats on the machine training, which starts day one. If you want a career change or a career start this place is worth your time. I have nothing but good things to say about this school.

Well im in my 3rd week of school and I'm loving it, only down fall is when sick ur told to stay home even if u offer to wear a mask but instructors can come in sick, I dint understand that but meh. Will write another review when finished the course. Edit: So I graduated but I can't say I'll be going into the industry due to the foreman attitude while was attending school, he was extremely uncomfortable to be around, constantly I was seeing him piss outside of his office when the bathroom was a seacan over. He was the grumpiest man I've met and then when talking to an instructor about it I was told that "better get used to it cause that's how they all are. I didn't feel like I was able to get the best hands on experience due to the forman saying to me when I radioed him over to ask for guidance "to not radio every 5 mins " it's a school for crying out loud, any way here's my overall review .

I had a great time, learning, listening and meeting some amazing people who not only taught what I wanted to learn but gave excellent instruction and details on how to get better for whichever machine I was operating. The staff have so much knowledge to give if you’re willing to listen and try what they’re either demonstrating or guiding you to do. It’s one of the best experiences I’ve ever had and would recommend it to everyone. Thanks to you all.
