Super slick little place - a quick walk out right to the lift in the morning! We stayed in a 3 bed (bunk and double) on the second floor for dirt cheap in peak season, which was awesome. One issue is room was blistering hot at night and not assuaged by opening a window/ minimizing the thermostat, but alas. Definitely 'bare bones', but a perfect layout for skiing at Castle - I think having a low/ no-service option on the hill for comparatively cheap is great. Recommend!

This was my first time skiing at this mountain. Lots of runs to challenge most skiers. The day we went had fresh snow overnight, so great ski conditions. As it is over 2 hours from Calgary, the hill was not busy at all.

I would give it a 3.5 if I could. A better stay than the first time I stayed here. A great location at the base of the ski resort. Very clean. Free parking. Free wifi. Friendly staff. A fun common room. A few things could make this place really awesome and feel more like a hotel. Coffee in the rooms. They serve it down the hall, but would be nicer to make a fresh cup in the morning in your room. Milk or cream please...I am sure some people love the flavoured creamers... but I don’t. There was no fresh fruit in the morning, as we were told. Easier shower to operate...I had some issues getting the darn thing to work. The operation info was not posted near it either. Staff at the front desk. There is a phone to contact them when you arrive. I don’t think I saw them at the desk at all. More coat hangers in the room and fix the broken hooks in the room. All in all I had a great sleep. A few simple changes and attention to detail and this place could be a 4 or 5!

Beautiful location and wonderful staff at this area, they have events every now and then per season and my mom face paints for them, they treat guests and volunteers/venders very well! Definitely a place that'll make you feel right at home

Great location across the parking lot from the chairlifts. On the pricey side for a really basic room. However the staff were helpful and the hotel was clean. My only legitimate gripe is that after skiing all day I was unable to take a highly anticipated hot shower as there was no hot water. The staff was apologetic, however apologies did not heat up the water.

This is a hostel/hotel, so it's a different atmosphere than most hotels. It's nestled in the most gorgeous place, surrounded by mountains and trees. We went for a walk, and there were deer just roaming the streets. There are some food options in the town, but your best bet is to eat in Pincher Creek or bring snacks in.
The room was nice, relatively quiet (down season) and had a bunk bed, which is obviously the coolest. I would definitely go back.

Very conveniently located for access to amazing skiing. Clean, roomy, and friendly service.This place could be super amazing with some simple improvements and upgrades. Hot water was warm (it was a very very cold weekend and older buildings need loving, last time I was here it was hot). Doors need door sweeps to keep out noise and drafts. Shampoos, conditioners, soaps, lotions for all guests in room...we had only a shampoo and a lotion this time. More comfortable mattresses (I am a bit bias to a firmer mattress). Coffee in the rooms not in the hallway. Provide lids for cups, sugar and milk/cream instead of just Splenda and coffee mate. Free wifi...for what we paid for room it should have been included.

Great hotel/hostel combo. Always someone interesting to interact with. Check out the big group area and gear lockers downstairs. Cozy duvets. Clean space, clearly care is put into keeping this place enjoyable. Don’t forget the amaaaazing wood stove sauna out the back.
