Tres beau canping avec acces sur le lac aire de jeu. En prime la visite d'un petit ours brun a proximite.

Beautiful scenery, calm sea for swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking. Plenty of picnic areas and tables. We'll worth the trip.

Finally got to camp out for a few days at Porpoise Bay Campground and it did not disappoint. It's definitely on my top list of favourite places to camp with all amenities. Weekends are definitely more loud and chaotic with everyone trying to get a spot but we went on a Saturday mid day and managed to snag the last FCFS spot so you don't have to reserve.

We spent 4 days here at the end of summer.
Great quiet campsite. Majority people camping were camping with tents but the sites were large enough for trailers. Ours is 30 feet and fit fine.
The far end of the campground is a 5-10 min walk to the bay. I had to drive our kayaks down to the water to paddle.
One large disadvantage was there is no sani-dump but there is one just off the highway at Robert’s creek provincial park just 20 min away toward gibsons.

So far so good at Porpoise! Love the bike camping facilities, lots of space to spread out. Hot showers, fresh water, right by the water. The group site is huge, but essentially a gravel parking lot. Others might like this, but there are nicer sites out there.

Great location, we reached there without a booking on a Sunday for the May long weekend and got more than expected.
The ranger, Kiran gave us options of the sites available and was super helpful.
The location is awesome, nice playground , well maintained washrooms. We really enjoyed our time in the water, the beach and at the campsite.
Will definitely return again.

Convenient location to the town, but completely unmanaged campsite. The bins were overflowing after 3 days of not being emptied. People were leaving garbage bags beside the bins and the animals were tearing them apart over night. The pit toilets haven't been cleaned in 4 days and can be smelled from 200 meters away. Each camp site has bits of garbage dotted about the hedges and gravel. The drains for grey water are overflowing at all sites. When questioning this with the BC Parks Warden, he advised to just pour it in the bushes beside our camp. Really! Other campers loud and running generators past midnight. Seems the park warden just doesnt care. 100% the worst kept BC Parks site we've been to. We brought two young kids too and had to worry about them getting sick from using the facilities. Head Office needs to look into it.
