When I called to book my appt, I had to leave my phone number for them to call back. The receptionist called back promptly, she was very pleasant and booked me an appt. Day of appt. The receptionist was very friendly, my appt was on time. The tech was very nice as well. I dealt with 3 different staff at this site and every single one of them was super nice and very professional.

So impressed with my experience! This is my first time booking an appt through them instead of Mayfair Diagnostics. I loved that I spoke on the phone to someone in Sylvan Lake instead of a massive call center. She was immediately able to start working on a chart for me and once that was done she helped me explore appt options at 3 locations closest to me, and called the location we chose to quickly confirm the appointment. It was a smoothe process and very personal.

Not really happy with this location. The receptionist is standoffish and rude. The ultrasound technician told me that I had a marginal cord attachment; which the doctor disagreed with and was unsure why she would have told me that in the first place. At my last ultrasound (36 weeks) she told me I hadn’t been drinking any water and to leave my coffee alone because it would dehydrate me. She refused to start my ultrasound until I slammed two full solo cups of water, which I did and when she returned she said “well you drank those so you can drink two more”. I had been drinking water all morning for this scan and was so uncomfortable for the rest of the day after drinking four full solo cups of water in five minutes. This is not my first baby and I am sure she was able to see it on the scan without so much water.

I can tell the lady that did my ultrasound is kind and empathetic but I wish my experience there could have went better. I’m 17 and was supposed to get an internal ultrasound. I also got an external one which my mom forgot to tell me to drink water for but the lady still checked as good as she could. The problem I have though starts with first them telling my mom on the phone she couldn’t come in with me, it gave me even more anxiety and I would of at least wanted her in for the external. I had horrible anxiety the whole external and it didn’t help when I was in there and the lady didn’t say anything to me at all about the ultrasound or even show me the screen. I know I was in there for cramps but if I had a baby I’m sure they would have shown the screen, why am I different? It was dark and scary and she pushed very hard on my stomach which made me instinctively sit up a little bit and she told me to lay back down. This is more on me but to look at my kidneys I had to hold my breath and I kept messing up because I was crying. I then was told the internal isn’t even needed it sees the same as an external so why would they tell me I should do it? I just hope next time that I can bring like my boyfriend in cause it felt absolutely lonely and humiliating and I already struggle with my body and medical anxiety I just wished it had went better but I don’t know if it was anyone’s fault or not.

I hate that I can only give one star.
This place seriously deserves the negative reviews it has. The single worst receptionist I've encountered in a long time. She has to be related to someone working here in order to still be employed.
Rude, unpleasant and unprofessional are as nice as I can state how she is on here. Tell a grandmother she can't be in the waiting area with her grandson in the waiting room because they need the seats for the other patients.
Zero other patients. Then be rude about asking to use the bathroom.
Amazing service. I'd truly rather drive to Edmonton than ever go here again.

Think twice before going to this location for baby ultrasounds…

My husband and I have gone here x2 times and each time has been a horrible experience with the receptionist… She is rude if you need to use the washroom, rude when booking appts and needing to discuss with your significant other if the date and time is going to be okay… Not only rude when booking appts she ALSO doesn't book appts WHEN you are supposed to have your certain ultrasounds ( time sensitive ) She was booking my 13 weeks at 12 weeks and my 18 to 20 weeks at 21.5 weeks…….. AND if you point out that the week is wrong or that time and date doesn't work, look out… She just gets up and walks away without saying anything for about 5 minutes as you're just standing there waiting or she is just completely rude with you and argues that she is going off the ultrasound date that currently was just done when you are to go off the DATING ultrasound… I'm just so glad for this not being my first pregnancy and I know the ultrasound routine…

BUT if you are new and don't know the ultrasound routine, then you would be trusting this receptionist, which is completely wrong and you won't have the right results the doctors need…! THINK about that…

She asked me who my Dr. was so she could send them the results and I told her and she looked at her computer and just rudely said actually you don't know who your doctor is going to be out of that location so I'm just going to send, when I in FACT do know because we are having a planned C-section done by my Dr… Also my Dr. works out of a few different locations in Olds so for her to argue / make the decision about it just makes me sick… What is the point of asking if your just going to make the choice yourself..? When asked you should just send it to the Dr. name given because you have NO IDEA what someone's situation is…

Told us that baby ultrasounds are only done in the morning when in fact I was at this location for the last baby and the current baby in the afternoon… Mornings don't work for us, as two we both work and around lunch time ( early afternoon ) is great but she makes it a big deal…

At first I thought it was because they are just that booked up that they don't have many appts left, but I just made my appt with Airdrie and they got me in right away and with SO many dates and times to choose from, even tho that is in 3 weeks from now compared to Camis receptionist booking me 9 weeks out… Also when I talked to the manager at camis she had many other options for me to pick from but I was not offered them for me to rebook my 18 to 20 weeks by the receptionist…

There was also a time I took my son in for an ultrasound few years ago and he had to pee so badly and she wouldn't let him… Just a little kid… It is beyond me, having to tell a kid to hold them selfs…

I honestly could go on and on about how horrible our experiences has been at this location… There is ALOT more that has happened in just two appts, unfortunately this location has a lot to change and if starts with the receptionist…!!!

I also know few others who have and are going to this location, and they are having the same problems... It's really sad..!

I HIGHLY recommend going somewhere else even if it is a little of a drive..! Having a child is supposed to be a great experience when going to ultrasounds and seeing the little one..! BUT it's not great when dealing with someone who clearly doesn't like their job and doesn't want to do it properly…!!!

I have spoken to higher management and I have brought this to their attention but my husband and I have agreed to go to a different location for the rest of our time so we can enjoy..!

My first appointment in Olds, and it was great. Very nice people. Made me feel comfortable amd able to relax with each step in the process. Easy to get to and lots of parking.

The ultrasound technician was professional, friendly and welcoming and she immediately put me at ease. I would definitely visit this location again.
