Excellent Experience at Sylvan Learning Red Deer!

Sylvan Learning has been a fantastic resource for my daughter’s education. The teachers are not only kind and patient but also skilled at explaining concepts in ways that truly make sense to her. Their teaching methods are thorough and engaging, and they’ve helped build her confidence in subjects she once found challenging. Since enrolling, my daughter has shown significant improvement in her schoolwork, both in her grades and her understanding of key concepts. Sylvan learning centre has been working with my daughter on grade 9 math for several months now, 2 days per week, and it’s been going great. She made honour roll her first term this year! Her understanding of math is better than ever and her math grade has stayed consistent through the school year so far.

Our son was assessed at Sylvan Learning in Red Deer after struggling significantly with reading and reading comprehension, falling well below his grade level. He also has learning disabilities in this area, and traditional teaching methods did not meet his needs.

Since starting at Sylvan, the progress he has made in just a few weeks has been remarkable—far surpassing years of effort and frustration elsewhere. The tutoring methods have proven to be highly effective for him, and we are incredibly grateful for the dedicated support provided.

In addition to academic improvement, our son has a passion for robotics, coding, and 3D printing, which are offered as courses at the centre. I don’t know of any other places that offers this as I searched online specifically in Red Deer.
Enrolling him at Sylvan Learning Centre was undoubtedly one of the best decisions we’ve made.

Sylvan Lake Learning has been a great experience with my child’s learning. He was behind in certain grades and they are helping get him up to speed! The teachers are have been a great help and there are incentives to help keep him motivated. I would highly recommend this service if your child is needing extra help with school/grades.

My daughter, who has learning difficulties, was hesitant to get tutoring. Her thinking was she had done enough school during the day, the last thing she wanted was more school. She agreed to try a session. After the first session she said, "that's not what I thought it was going to be! It was really fun and he (the tutor) showed me how to do it so differently than my teacher, but now I get it." She loves the points incentives as well. I'm thrilled because she looks forward to her sessions, not dreading them. The coordinator has also been so understanding and accommodating. I can not give enough thanks!
