If your child goes to this school, be well aware that if your child is attacked by another student, the principal will not call the other parents unless you fight her for it to happen. My son was attacked yesterday, and he defended himself, he tried walking away so many times and then when he wasn’t paying attention was slammed face first into his locker by a student that had been bringing alcohol to the school.

They do not want to call this kids parents because that student didn’t show up to school today, and they wanna get “ his side of the story”. When clearly in the security footage you can watch my son walk away, turn his body away MULTIPLE times. When I called the super intendants office, and explained the situation, they called me back after talking to the principal, and guess what. The principal made it seem like my son started it. I freaked out and told them they need to watch the security footage, principal sandre didn’t explain to her at all what was In the video footage. And they kept saying “ we will follow up with that student”

Not sure if everyone’s phones are broken in that school, but apparently calling parents isn’t something they usually do until they talked to the students. So I’m going to make this a very big deal, because the last time my son came home after being attacked, I let Sandra convince me that she’d talk to parents, but she didn’t. She lied. So it went unresolved.

Bullying is being allowed at this school. And instead of protecting the students, and making sure they are safe, seems like the principal is just protecting herself from some paper work and hard conversations with other parents…. Something needs to change how things are handled. Because this isn’t working for anyone, and Glendale has a bad reputation- and now I know why.
