Fun bus tour up the mountain to see an impressive mining operation in progress. Staff in the store and Owen in particular was great, he was patient with my son who was buying a toy with counting a ridiculous amount of coins to complete the purchase. He did the tour narrative as well with some good jokes.

Very nice visitor centre to visit when in Sparwood, gives you interesting facts about the history of Sparwood coal mining industry and the big truck is just amazing for the kids.

With the big truck, this is the most popular 'tourist' spot in the town; We visit here occasionally (as we have friends who live here) and it sounds like a really well-run town as well.
