While I understand that having parents present may initially feel supportive, it can sometimes lead to unintended challenges. Instructors are already well-prepared to handle energetic and distracted children, and their expertise creates an environment where kids can focus, engage, and thrive. When parents remain in the space, however, it can inadvertently cause children to become overstimulated, distracted, or even defiant. The presence of their primary authority figure—who they may subconsciously see as their biggest challenger—can activate these behaviors, making it harder for them to integrate with their peers or follow instructions.

I believe that giving parents a choice of whether to stay or step away during classes could be a great compromise. This approach would allow parents who prefer to observe to do so, while also giving others the option to leave their child under the instructors' care. In many cases, I feel that children might be more inclined to follow the group’s example and adhere to the structure of the class when they don’t have the option to rely on or resist their parent’s presence.

I trust your team to make the best decisions for the children’s learning environment, but I wanted to share my perspective based on what I’ve observed and experienced. Please let me know if there’s anything I can do to support this conversation or assist in implementing any changes.

Thank you for your time and for all that you do! Because aside from parents involvement this place is ideal for child development and growth for their next steps no matter what age is there.

My son absolutely loves coming to Kidstrong! He’s had some challenges at school, and as a parent, it's clear how quickly things can turn negative in the system. But every Saturday when we arrive, both my son and I are greeted with warmth, and the environment is always positive. The focus is on his strengths while also helping him build his skills in a constructive and encouraging way! Coach Aden (sorry if I’ve spelled that incorrectly) is fantastic—always attentive, engaging, motivating, and supportive of the kids. He seems to find a moment to give each child individual attention, which I feel is very valuable.

The only feedback I have is regarding transition times. During those moments, coaches ask the kids to return to their dots and find a partner to play games like rock-paper-scissors. etc. I’m not sure if this is intentional to be a "choice", but it seems like it could be more encouraged to participate, especially with two coaches on the floor. My son asked another kid to be his partner, but the child declined because they wanted to partner with someone else, which is fine, but my son immediately became discouraged as he can struggle with social skills. I encouraged him to ask someone else, but many of the kids weren't participating either. As a parent, I think it might be helpful for the coaches to pair them up to foster more engagement in the partner games and help them feel included.

My son Adriel was a very shy scared and quiet kid. Now through KidStrong, he improves so much. He is not shy and gain confidence in everything. Thanks to all coaches for all your help and support.

Tried a class out earlier this month with my 3.5 year old. I have nothing but great things to say, we will be doing regular lessons once she turns 4! This age it is a parented class which is totally fine but I do have a young baby as well so it’s a bit hard for me to run around with my baby and toddler at the same time but that was not their fault, that’s my own problem lol. Overall I’d say it’s an awesome place, I love the energy the coaches bring!! Will be returning in the new year for sure!

It was my son’s first class and he had a tonne of fun and can’t wait to go back. The coach’s were great and he was very receptive to them. I can definitely see how this will help with my son’s confidence and we are both looking forward for the next classes.
