First off, the teachers were amazing.

The principal is... does not have any interest in the children's education. I read about bullying in other posts. But number one bully is the principal!! She doesn't like seeing the kids succeed beyond, she only wants to keep them in a box. So if your kid is below grade level in reading etc, or above grade level they will not help enhance their education. So your kid will be bored or struggle. And will not want you involved in your kids life when their in their school. And bully the parent down, step on the parent and belittle you.

School activities are limited. The kids can't do any of the social activities like talent show, etc until grade 3 so there is nothing for K, grade 1 and 2 to be involved with.

They continue learning kindergarten stuff in grade 2.

Our education system needs help! We need more parents to take a stand. Stand up for your children.

From what I keep hearing, and from my son's experience, this is one of the best schools around.

+ Staff: very friendly, incredibly nice
+ Teachers: experienced, child focused
+ Safety: I feel safe sending my son here (protocols in place, constant supervision etc)
+ Peers: I have never heard my son, or anyone else I know, having any kinds of troubles with other kids
+ Playgrounds: at least 3 play areas around the school, lots of room to run and play

If I was looking to move somewhere in Spruce Grove, I would make sure it's close to this school, just to be able to send my kids here.

Unique layout for this school.

Our son went to this school for only half of kindergarten but he absolutely loved it. All his teachers were really nice and friendly, and made him feel welcomed when he arrived.
The little playground was a great place for him to meet new friends (we had just moved to Spruce Grove) and let out all his energy.
Once Prescott opened, we were transferred from Brookwood, but some of his new friends were transferred as well.

Years ago the teachers were alright. The principal and vice principal back then were amazing too.

As for the Covid issue at the school: what do you expect when you have kids playing with one another, touching each other, and playing on the playgrounds during recess?!
I live right behind brookwood school and I see it everyday!

My daughter has gone here since the maranatha program switch from Broxton to Brookwood. I have found the school to be incredibly friendly, welcoming. My daughter is in some ways sad to be moving up to middle school!

Loved this school I went to this school all the grades except for 4 grade but definitely send your kids here

My son came home waddling, and was talking about a bully at the school- said he told the teacher but she didn't do anything.
