Very nice staff, however, the knowledge area seems to be lacking. We have spent around $35,000 at this store and everything ordered has been incorrect in one way or another. We will no longer be shopping at the Stony Plain Co-op building Center. Its just no longer worth the hassle. If you need something, Tom is your best bet.

Friendly staff who actually know the products that they sell, I used to go here more for M3 size screws for 3D printing, but they don't carry them very much so I order elsewhere. When I can I support local but sometimes it's not possible

It's a lovely hardware store. I find it a little pricey. And impossible to find somebody to help you. Staff are friendly enough when you find one. I guess everybody's trying their best

I really enjoy shopping at this location but last week I made a purchase for $4.19 my change was to be $5.80 the young cashier couldn't figure out how to give me my change I thought it was a joke if your going to hire staff make sure they can handle cash and count, very sad

Shopping at Co-op brings back that small town feeling. The staff are always available to ask questions and help you find what you are looking for. It's very common to see staff having a conversation with a customer, not necessarily about what they were in the store to buy. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and they carry items that you would not find available in the stores in the city. If you’re looking for a hardware store with a great selection, come check out Co-op.

Best dammed smaller co-op hardware store anywhere! Friendliest staff and management I ever did see. For its size, this location carries so many things I can't find anymore in the big box corporate stores, like the last of the real true hardware stores that used to be. The staff here are all (in my experiences) highly knowledgeable. I love this place! And I'd spend the extra few pennies to here over any rona or home depot AAAAAANYTIIIIIME!

im a contractor we buy parts as we need them , and return them if we don't use them .
this coop location has a lousy return policy , every other hardware store i can purchase supplies and return with just my credit card or contractor loyalty number. not here i had to chase down the receipt which was at the accountant , get an e mail sent to me with the receipt then got hassled by the returns desk about the receipt and the fact the item had a scratch on the paint the same scratch that was on it when i bought it, and the same scratch that every other item has sitting on the shelf had.
my time is money ,( i wasted 4 hrs of my time ,and my accountants time plus 2 trips to the store to return this item)
if you want small local contractors to support you then you need to support us .
1) offer a discount or loyalty card
2) no hastle return .credit card or gift card. this is why i don't use this coop location.

The coop home center has my vote for top hardware store, we are painting our house and finishing renovations and we have bought most of our supplies here. The service has been beyond the best, I think the nicest kindest people from Stoney plain all work here, from the customer service desk to paint desk and every other service in the store every is is more than helpful. As long as I need hardware and building supplies Stoney plain coop is my store, Thank you to everyone
