I have had an amazing experience with Adventure Teaching. Katie guided us through the process with clarity and patience. She was always reachable by email and answered all our questions, no matter how big or small. She also helped us negotiate our contracts and was supportive towards the challenges South Africans face during the application process. Thank you for helping us to get to Korea! I would definitely recommend AT to any prospective English teachers.

I LOVE Adventure Teaching - I had the best experience with them. I went through Adventure Teaching when I taught abroad in South Korea. A friend referred them to me and I'm so glad they did. They were extremely helpful, reassuring and truly showed they cared about my experience teaching abroad. Moving half way across the world is a little scary and as you go through the process you have more questions than imaginable. Adventure Teaching was always knowledgeable and approachable. They took care of me from day one in the process until I stepped back on US soil! If you are considering teaching abroad, trust me you will want to go through Adventure Teaching!

Adventure Teaching was a dream to work with. I was looking for a private school job in Seoul, South Korea, and was very intent on being inside Seoul. I worked with several other recruiters during this process and found that most of them did not have my best interests at heart and just wanted to put me wherever suited them best so they could make their commission. Adventure Teaching was the opposite; everyone I talked to at Adventure Teaching made sure to acknowledge all of my wishes and let me know that they were working to make sure I got what I needed and was placed somewhere that was best for me. I worked a lot with Rachelle and she was absolutely wonderful. Whenever I needed help or had a question she would call me within the same day to help and was always very accessible and helpful. I have heard many horror stories from other foreign teachers about private schools in Korea and how many of them can be sketchy or unreliable and I know Adventure Teaching only works with reliable hagwons where foreign teachers have had good experiences so I felt very secure in the school Adventure Teaching recommended to me. I ended up getting placed at a wonderful school and am extremely happy. I would absolutely recommend Adventure Teaching to anyone looking for a teaching job in China or Korea.

Back in 2009 I had just graduated and was looking for something out of the ordinary (hence, the reason why I was making balloon animals for tips - also happened to be the worst time to graduate, turns out!).

Adventure Teaching came along and offered an amazing experience overseas in a country I knew nothing about - and I just had to take it! Little did I know this decision would change my life!

AT was so incredibly helpful every step of the way! From answering my visa questions, to making sure I was alright when I was over there - I couldn't believe how lucky I had it when I heard other teachers' experiences in trying to find a job. Honestly, trusting AT to handle it all for me was the best thing I could've done. They really did have my best interests in mind and were looking for my time overseas to be just as meaningful as theirs! (Yep, they've all been teachers in Asia!)

Better still, when I got to Korea they connected me with other AT teachers in my area, so I had a ready-made community of people who were in different stages of their transition in the crazy expat life. Funny story, some of my closest friends today are those AT people I met those first few weeks in Korea (5 years later!).

As the AT motto goes: you should probably do this. Boom.

My husband and I taught abroad in Korea for two years. The first placement was with another company, and the second year we choose to work with Adventure Teaching because so many people had recommended them to us. After working with them that second year, we could see why everyone raved about them. They were personally invested in finding us a good job (not just shoving us into anything), they had been teachers themselves, they have offices in both North America and Korea making them accessible both before leaving and once you've arrived. We have had a chance to meet the owners and they are guys with big dreams and big hearts that want the best for their teachers. They also were extremely helpful midway through my contract when I had had an issue with an unfair coworker. The first placement company we worked with were no where near as kind, organized, or interested in the quality of our experience as Adventure Teaching is. They're the only company worth working with, in our opinion.

I absolutely loved working with AT. When I first thought about moving overseas to teach English, I had no idea where to start. I googled 'Teaching English Overseas' and was overwhelmed by the options. I heard about Adventure Teaching through a friend and she could not stop saying great things about the company. I wasn't sure I wanted to teach in Korea, but having a good reference, I thought why not? And I am so glad I did. The staff at AT are very personable, very thorough and had my back during some of the more difficult times teaching in Korea. They were very reliable and were quick to answer my questions. Thanks AT for a year of adventure, excitement and a life changing experience!

As we were approaching our college graduation, my boyfriend and I decided that we wanted to spend a year abroad teaching English in Korea. After reading nothing but good reviews, we reached out to Adventure Teaching to begin the process, and they could not have made things any easier for us! The entire process of gathering documents was so clearly detailed, and everyone we spoke with was so friendly and genuine. Robyn always kept us up to date on potential opportunities that seemed to fit our needs (as placing a couple is a bit tougher), and we felt like we were in great hands. Though we ended up taking a position through a recent connection of ours (sort of something that just fell into our lap), they were super understanding and made sure our documents made it over on time. Really, I couldn't recommend them enough!
