The Squamish Welcome Centre & Bookstore is the most amazing place in downtown Squamish. Everyone is super helpful and kind its a really great place to connect with others as well. There are also so many programs and services the welcome centre offers for the Squamish community and newcomers! Truly an amazing place with the kindest volunteers and program coordinators! 🙂

I was in squamish for vacation past, and a transgender female and a Health care worker, I wanted to see how the LGBTQIA2S community is there and get a feel for the place and maybe get some information. So I went to the Welcome center I walked in and there was no closed sign and the door wasn't locked and was immediately greeted by someone yelling "CLOSED" at me, and walked me out the door and locking it behind me, and not explaining in a pleasant and with some customer service behind it and nice way hey we are closed can you possibly come back tomorrow, nope just Closed and pushing me out. Will not be back to this place, my recommendation is stay away from this place and get the information on your own.
