Grimshaw, petite ville de l'Alberta : on ne s'attend pas à trouver un établissement de cette qualité perdu au milieu de nul part... L'hôtel est récent, les chambres spacieuses et confortables, la piscine remarquable. Il n'y a pas de restaurant, mais il y a tout le nécessaire dans la chambre pour se faire à manger (en revanche, pas de problème pour le petit déjeuner).

There’s a worker named Tammy who’s always in a bad mood and treats me and my coworkers terribly. I really enjoyed staying at this hotel until now. I was extremely uncomfortable about what happened. I asked to switch rooms to the first floor for medical reasons (I’m not obligated to say). The previous receptionist Malcolm was extremely great, friendly and hospitable. Said it wasn’t a big deal. It was no problem. The next day when I went to switch rooms I was interrogated and lectured by Tammy for wanting a room on the first floor. Then I was forced to write the reason why I wanted to switch rooms on a piece of paper and sign it. She then was intimidating me by picking up the phone and was calling someone which made it seem like she was going to refuse me from getting the room on the first floor at all when there was already arrangements made. Today I was coming from my coworkers room on the third floor and she said it seemed like I liked the third floor better and I hope I learnt my lesson about switching rooms.

Beautiful hotel. Great friendly staff. Easy to locate. A&W a one minute walk from hotel. Pet friendly. Beautiful little town. Nice area to walk the dogs out back, down the alley, theres a nice little field for the dogs. Quit hotel. 5 out of 5 stars

I gave everything 1 star here because of the deceptive marketing. The pool, hot tub and water slide are not open, nor have they been in over a year. Upon checking in at 3:45pm I ask for a refund as we no longer wanted to stay at a place with the aforementioned issues. Full refund is given without dispute up to 3pm. I no we were past that time but as I explained we didn’t know there pool, hot tub and water slide were shut down. The lady at the front desk said it was mentioned on the website, implying it was my fault for not noticing. But here’s the thing. On the home page it lists the pool, hot tub and slide as being available. However if you click the link on the amenities and scroll half way down that page you will find a small disclaimer noting the pool is closed. To me that somewhat hidden mention is a great example of deceptive marketing. To me it seemed like this front desk lady had been through this with many other guests and had most likely been to stop giving refunds…So basically the only way they can fill rooms here is through deceptive marketing practices, most likely via the direction of upper management or at a corporate level. Shame on them!!

We stayed 2 nights. The hotel was a very pleasant surprise, especially based on some of the negative reviews, which are not justified. The rooms were quiet, very clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly. key cards require a few trys to open the locks, but not a major issue. Breakfast was simple but adequate. The price was a great deal.

Spent the weekend at this hotel for a hockey tournament.
-Pool was not open
-Door handles were falling off the bathroom door
-TVs didnt work
-No hot water
-no heat in room
- closet door was broken
-several stains on carpets
-Kids were not aloud to be in rooms or halls even mid day when staff knew three hockey teams were staying.
-Staff were extremely rude
When calling about tv and hot water was told they have no maintenance on weekends and best they could do was notify maintenance Monday.

I highly recommend not staying at this hotel.

The room was fine, older but clean. Bed was springy, firm, but comfortable.

Breakfast was toast, waffles, or cereal, which could do with a hot item or two.

Wifi was working - wasn't working during the last number of months.

Pool was "down" when we arrived, but later, the staff opened it up. It was freezing in the pool and the pool area. As noted in previous reviews, the hot tub still doesn't work - it's in the pictures on most travel websites - but not actually advertised by the hotel.

For a little North Alberta town. Coast is amazing. Price is very reasonable. Rooms are clean and quiet. Worth the stay!
