Today, I had the opportunity to visit Belmont Solar Farm, a 25.4 MW solar project in Ontario, equipped with 312,000 solar panels spread over 490 acres. It powers around 3,200 homes and operates under a 20-year PPA with Ontario Power Authority. With a background in mechanical engineering and now advancing into electrical engineering, I’m excited to further explore renewable energy. Fanshawe College’s Renewable Energies Technician program has enriched my knowledge in solar, nuclear, geothermal, and hydropower technologies, as well as energy efficiency and energy advising. This journey is a rewarding pathway toward a sustainable future!

I went to Fanshawe for the CNC/CAM course and left in just 2 weeks. This was before the deadline to pay tuition which meant that I owed no tuition.

The co-ordinators of the CNC course in particular are very full of themselves. They like to talk a lot about how great they are instead of teaching course material, so that you will always fall behind.

This affected me quite a bit because I am autistic. I can say that this school does not care if you have a learning diability.

As stated previous: I am autistic. This doesn't affect my ability to communicate when I need help. I say this because I would ask for help repeatedly, as the istructors would have a 2 hour demonstration, and then expect you to hold all the information from that demostration to machine a part. This sometimes happened at the end of the day which meant that you were expected to retain this information over nearly a week until you'd return to the shop as they wouldn't redo a demonstration unless it was too late, or you have been screwing up for a hour or 2 straight. This is a rediculous task inspecially for a introductory course where most people are unfamiliar or don't know anything about these machines. The instructors would, without fail, tell me to simply "just do it" every single time I asked for any help. It is no surprise to hear that this course was close to being closed and at least five individuals quit the course like I did. I was not the only one who noticed this.

I was nearly in this for the longhaul, but my parents begged me to quit the programme. This course wouldn't even be worth the $250 non-refundable deposit.

I have a bone to pick with the woman who is supposed to help students here though. She is both rude and unhelpful. I came their to ask what I was supposed to do with my IEP and she, like my teachers, told me to: "do it myself" at home and gave me a loose set of instructions to get to the webpage to do it myself. I came again to withdraw from the programme and she was, again, of no help as I had to do it myself at home again. At least this time I learned and brought my laptop, so she was, unfortunately, forced to help me.

I wish that this will help someone who isn't up for this to avoid it. It was a bad experience for me, but if what above is worth stomaching than your a stronger lad than me.

However it's worth going just for the geese.

Best college with best staff and also best and highest paid program . This campus is even better then london ones because faculty takes care for international students .

Navigating this site is useless, calling is some what better if you can get through, if you want any response it's better to go in person to the office for any answers. A much needed overhaul on comunication is needed.
