I have had multiple bad experiences at this hospital, i used to come here every night when i was 16 around 2am to 5am in pain for a disease that I have and Doctor Ojedoukn was the doctor on call every night and she would give me gravol and something else for pain, she also told my parents that I was faking my pain because I just didn’t want to go to school and she would leave right after that and she would repeat that process every night that I came into emergency, her husband Dr. Joseph Ojedoukn (I think his name is) and also Dr.Byers helped me out the most and tried there best in finding out what was wrong with me and it took a private clinic in Edmonton for them to do an MRI on me while Dr.Ojedekin refused on giving me a requisition for an mri or any type of scan.

You get asked all sorts of questions and very unnecessary questions for example I came in for a requisition and was asked multiple times about domestic violence. The wait time for seeing a doctor is also ridiculously long at this hospital,I have had friends wait at this hospital for longer than 4 hours to see a doctor, for them to leave and go to mayerthorpe for help, I myself have waited 2 hours before before seeing a doctor with my mother while she cut her hand open down her to tendon. I also overheard 6 nurses making fun of patients and wanting to discharge another patient and get him out as quick as possible.

Although I will say there are some very nice people here and the Lab people and x-ray people are also very nice, very helpful and friendly

went there yesterday because as a mom u know ur child is sick even you didnt get the temp yet. We go straight to the ER after my work to seek some medical help though for them its not that urgent, I understand. They assess and get vitals after that the waiting game started. Waited for almost 3 hours and my child is nauseous they even heard it. After they transfer to the treatment room and still waiting. My daughter is very tired already and feel chilly after the waiting game in an aircon room then nurse told me not to put jacket ‍♀️ okay then.. still waiting and we got walked out, my husband with a respect told the nurse we will go home then told us "its up to u" if u tell us to wait a little more we will wait..but OMG! WHERE'S THE EMPHATY HERE! WHERE IS THE PROMISE ON UR OATH TO TAKE GOOD CARE OF UR PATIENTS. YOU ARE THE ONE OF THE HIGHEST PAID CAREERS BUT WE CAN SEE NO CONCERNS HERE! know this is unfair to the others but its always like this. ‍♀️
I saw some patients go to this hospital, waiting and waiting while in pain..NO URGENCY in EMERGENCY ROOM sucks!

I had post surgical wound complication, so I went to the ER. They were amazingly quick to see me, and Dr Jane admitted me overnight for observation and got me connected to homecare. Home care has been so great for my husband and I, just really supportive when this complication is difficult to deal with.

The doctors at the Whitecourt hospital are clowns. The nursing staff is good. I'm pretty sure horses in the area get better doctors though. Sad state of affairs when you have a back injury and they treat you with Xrays and then send you home with some Tylenol. Defining the doctors here as quacks wouldn't be low enough of a insult.

I came in to emerg after injuring myself in edmonton the previous day (edmonton hospital wait times were really long that day). I was seen within an hour (im not high priority given my pain was a zero) and then had my x-rays done and read for a total of 2hr stay at the ED. Everyone was very nice and kept me informed of what was going on. Thank you for the care!

MALPRACTICE at this whitecourt hospital. i saw dr Joe Ojedoukn who wouldnt prescribe the 3 mgs of ativan i was on daily for 5 years. he cold turkeyed me and discharged me. I told him ive had a seizure and have had to call an ER many times because of not having the medication. He chose NOT to give me a prescription of. He didnt taper me of no he did nothing and walked out. this man should be reported and sued. benzodiazpine withdrawal is one of the most dangerous withdrawals there are on this planet. dr joe ojedoukn should not be practicing medicine if hes going to take a chance at a fatality of cold turkeying someone off a medication. i told him i had a doctors appointment coming up in the next week he didnt care. This is an EMERGENCY ROOM that did this. Hes a brave man he doesnt fear expensive lawsuits.

No service, one old doctor that's slower than a turtle. Only one doctor staffed Waited 4 hrs for nothing highly not recommended go to mayerthorpe, foxcreek anywhere other than whitecourt hell a child with papers would do a better job an probably be more accurate too.. worst hospital on the planet if someone's dying they'll more than likely die in the waiting room or the treatment room..

long wait time when no one was in the waiting room. my child went with heart palpitations, vomiting, belly ache and chills, we waited more than an hour and after that hour they put other people who arrived later in the room to the doctor before us. ? two hours wasted to go to Mayerthorpe and have better service and quality of health service.
