I am not a customer but through a banking error they incorrectly merged a cheque I had written with someone else's during the scanning and submitting process. The result was that both my original cheque AND this Frankenstein cheque were taken out of my chequing account, this accounted for close to $700 of my money being incorrectly taken out of my account. I went to the Deep River branch and they assured me I would have my money back by the end of the week, I requested a follow up call twice during this time, both of which they 'forgot' to call me to fill me in on progress. A week and a half, and 4 trips to the physical branch later and they inform me there is nothing they can do and I have to go to my bank to request the money through them (this was my original course of action but I had been told by my bank that going to the Credit Union might be faster than the 3-6 week turn around through them). Their customer service, apparent lack of quality assurance and their lack of knowledge on process is shocking, they were waiting on an email from someone who ended up being away on vacation which I suppose accounted for their delayed response? - unacceptable. They should have been able to tell me within a day or two that there was nothing they could do after they failed to properly ensure the cheques they were processing were valid.

PLEASE ANSWER THE PHONE! If you phone the number provided and enter the extension number for the Deep River bank no one answers, plan B select that you want to talk an agent, any agent where ever that person might be, after waiting 30 minutes i gave up, 12 unanswered calls to the local branch and half an hour of wasted time with zero results.

Since I moved here credit Union has been my bank and they have been awesome there have been some girls that have helped me and my husband and my family through the years that I cannot even express my thanks kudos to the whole credit Union team
