A great safe place to ride. Kate gives all her horses the best care, they are happy and well rounded. Kate is a great coach who will go the extra mile to make sure you are safe and comfortable. The barn has a great community atmosphere and is clean and organized. Fun for all ages- from little kids to adults (like me) looking to learn or get back into riding. Nice arenas both indoor and outdoor

I’ve been with Twisted Willow Equestrian for over 9 amazing years! Horses are well taken care of and this is one of the few “drama free” facilities out there. This facility prides itself for being authentic and welcoming. I board my horse there and he’s happy, healthy and well cared for.

My daughter loves her time at TWE, to the point we spend most of our free time there now 😋 I appreciate the support and instruction she receives there, she has gained a ton of confidence in her riding abilities.

One of the kids came home saying that katy was mean and yelled at her. This morning no one showed up untill 9 even though it was supposed to start at 830 the only reason why i am giving two stars is the horses. Dont waste your time !

Twisted Willow is a special English riding barn offering lessons (including pony lessons for young kids!) and camps - with an extremely knowledgeable, non-snobby, relaxed and friendly vibe. The business has evolved, and continues to evolve a lot over the years that my daughter has been involved. It's run almost single-handedly by Kate, who could be the most hardworking, persistent and kind person I've ever been lucky to meet. What the business may slightly lack in finesse, it more than makes up for in other areas if you give it a chance. For example, if animal welfare is important to you, this is your place. If a compassionate non-snobby environment is important to you, this is your place. If kindness is important to you, this is your place. The business itself continues to improve and refine so yes, be patient, and just think a little about how incredibly challenging it could be to run such a business with so many moving parts.

My daughter attended camp 2 summers ago and talks about returning with the utmost enthusiasm. When we would pick her up she had the BIGGEST smile on her face, didn't want to leave and begged for another week, but that summer wasn't doable for our family. After reading the reviews, I think some people are not understanding of farm life. It is BUSY! Barns can get yucky and they are tending to everything and not just one thing all the time. It is sad to see people giving 1 star as this can really hurt a business and could have been dealt with in other means of communication.

Keep up the wonderful work Twisted Willow. Your horses and ponies are beautiful !

I have ridden at TWE for the last year and am very happy. Being over 50 years old, and have not ridden for over about 20 years, the horses are EXTREMELY well behaved and it was very easy to start getting my body back in the saddle. Kate is wonderful at training, she doesn’t yell and scream at you, she is as calm as her horses. It looks like she only trains for jumping but she has horses that you can just hack with if you can’t jump (either due to injury or skill level). She has horses that you can confidently start or re-start your riding journey on and her lessons are run in the evening and weekends, so very easy to accommodate when working or going to school. She does PD and summer camp rides for kids, and you have very small children, her pony pal classes is great to get the kids interested in horses. Very reasonably priced and close to town (5 mins south of 401 between Highbury and Old Victoria road on Dingman. Best way to get in touch with her is thru the FB page and send her pms and be patient as it might take her a while to response.
