I cannot say enough about how important Kathleen's loving support was to my birth experience. After having a previous poor doula experience for my wife's delivery of our first child (alongside a very tough labour) we were very anxious about entering another birth experience without the proper support. In our first meeting, Kathleen showed tremendous empathy and clearly explained her customized approach that ensures the unique needs of each mother are met with loving support. Her wealth of experience gave us confidence in managing anything labour threw at us. Her ability to listen to our hopes and fears and explain the realities and the strategies to support us was tremendously helpful in feeling safe and supported. During my labour she was quick to arrive when we needed her and was a super active supporter to both my wife and I throughout. Like any birth, we had unanticipated challenges, and Kathleen's support with coping techniques truly made a difference to our experience. Her encouraging words helped me when I thought I couldn't go on, and she also provided resources and guidance for my wife in supporting me as well. We honestly could not have asked for more and are so grateful to Kathleen!
