I have been folded into this warm and welcoming community. The church has an elevator so it’s accessible to me with a walker. There’s a lot of variety in the services and the space is lovely. I love that it’s a liberal faith community which is making a difference Kelowna. I only wish there were more younger people and singers. It would be worth it just for the music.

This has become one of my favourite spots in Kelowna! Kelowna Unitarians is a diverse, inclusive community of curious and compassionate folk who come together to try to make sense of what it means to be human. I’ve found the people to be extremely kind and welcoming.

Their little sanctuary in downtown Kelowna is in a great location near the Cultural District and is available for rent for private events, concerts and other public gatherings. The building is accessible as they recently added an elevator. I highly recommend Kelowna Unitarians!

If you want community but not a traditional Christian church, the Unitarian Church is a great option. The teachings are based on 7 core values, not any particular religious dogma so people of different religious traditions, atheists and agnostics can fit into this church. They have a small kids program which my son enjoys. I feel good about him being in the kids program because I know they are not trying to convert him to anything, just teaching him values. They have a great minister right now and interesting guest speakers from time to time.
