Their commitment to fostering a strong social-emotional foundation for the kids is evident in every interaction. One of the greatest things about this centre is the emphasis on outdoor education. We love that the kids get to explore and learn through nature every single day!

We have been with Sweet Peas cottage for over 2 years and cannot say enough positive things about this daycare. Our daughter has loved it since day one, the highlight being the teachers who are all so caring and genuine. We feel that she is really cared for, stimulated with activities and is safe. The facilities are great, very cozy space filled with excellent activities, plus very close to all kinds of fun outing spots like trails and playground. The daycare is excellent at sending communications as well as updates about the children (photos, etc). The kids are always doing themed projects throughout the year, and they make a big effort with all holidays and lots of cute projects are sent home for parents to see. We are so happy with this daycare and highly recommend!!

We were lucky to have our 3 children go to daycare with Amy from Sweet Pea Cottage many years ago. She always created such an amazing experience for all the children. The program was progressive and well thought out. There was an incredible balance of outdoor education, learning through play, gardening, hiking, crafts and more. My children are now 21,23 and 25 and we still talk about their fantastic daycare experience! As both a mom and teacher, I fully recommend Sweet Pea Cottage.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Sweet Peas Creekside. Our son has been in the 3-5 program for 2 years and our daughter in the under 3 program for over a year so we’ve been able to experience both programs. The teachers are amazing, such kind and warm individuals providing love and comfort as well as a super fun, creative and engaging educational program that changes month to month and always includes a ton of outdoor adventuring. They do an amazing job supporting families in teaching our children the invaluable skills that will have them prepared to start kindergarten. Whether it was Covid, ministry funding changes, or a concern about a child, communication is always 5 stars with every situation being handled with full transparency and consideration and care for all involved. We love Sweet Peas and can’t recommend them enough!

I consider us very lucky that both of our children have been able to attend Sweet Peas Cottage Creekside, with our second still in attendance. Our experience with Sweet Peas is that it is a home away from home for children. The kindness, care, creativity, and love that the educators and owners extend to all the children in attendance makes us feel like Sweet Peas is an extension of our own families. We have made life long friendships, that continue even as children grow up and move on. Sweet Peas organizes their calender such that our children's curious little minds are richly stimulated. Our daughter comes home eager to share what adventures she has gone on and things she has learned every day. Consider yourselves lucky if your child(ren) are able to attend.

I have been teaching the Yoga program at Sweet Pea (Cottage and Creekside) since 2017. Amy, Sam, Libby and all the teachers have been such a joy to see each week. The care, attention, creativity, learning, teachings that go into Sweet Pea is a very special thing for the families that attend. I always recommend their locations to friends looking for childcare. Sweet Peas is awesome! I do music around the north shore and am in many centers, weekly. The environment is very respectful and the vibes are always inspired! From the materials , the outings , the range and variety of experiences - the teachers are very kind across the board. From my perspective , the children who attend sweet peas are very lucky! ❤️❤️

I asked my 5 year old daughter to give me one word to describe Sweet Peas = “it’s like home”. Okay, that’s 3 words but she’s 5 with selective hearing (Disclaimer: Sweet Peas taught her how to count I swear).

But to be honest, I really don’t think I could have described it better myself. Sweet Peas is unlike any other daycare on the North Shore and it truly does feel like a home away from home for both the child and the confidence a parent can feel in leaving their child with “family”. On the North Shore there are some amazing big name daycares and home daycares… but with the perfect mix of what makes each type of daycare great, there is this unicorn of a facility that is Sweet Peas & there is nothing quite like it!!

We are now in a new phase where our second child will be starting at Sweet Peas soon and all I can say is…It sure feels good to be home 🏠 🫛
