BAKERS TAKE NOTICE!
Purchased LG LSE4611ST stove, $1900, from Rona April 2022. There where oven performance issues so contacted LG warranty tec, who despite knowing about defective redesign, stated there weren't any problems with oven and refused to check under warranty. Had been sold Camerco extended warranty protection, so I contacted them. It wasn't until Jan 2025 that experienced appliance tec discovered, to my surprise, my stove did not have a bottom element. He had never seen this before. (Most stoves are designed with this element to be hidden under the oven floor.) Research indicated a broken (or a missing) bottom element had issues similar to problems I was having. Mar 01, a Rona Mgr contacted Camerco, said stove was defective and Camerco should refund purchase price but Camerco rejected all repair and no lemon claims. Talked to Rona again and was told Rona knew that oven redesign had removed the bottom element but they didn't need to disclose and that discontinuance of model also didn't need to be disclosed. Eventually Camerco rejected all claims because stove not eligible for extended warranty protection because of known design problems. Rona sold me extended warranty protection without disclosing oven problems would not be covered. Rona has not responded to me and has not responded to correspondence from Better Business Bureau. While their latest ad campaign states some businesses provide "half ass" service, it appears Rona doesn't rise to advertised higher standard. Unfortunately may need to start action against Rona to get a response or resolution.

Friendly staff, well-stocked and locally owned! I feel comfortable shopping here, as a woman, having been treated with a lot of condescension at other North Shore hardware stores, just for asking about which aisle to find a, b or c.

Can’t wait to visit again. My little assistant had a great time too.

I have never experienced such poor customer service before (Mortaza at Rona Marine Drive). The way I was treated was incredibly rude and unacceptable. When a customer asks for something, they should receive a polite response. However, instead of that, I encountered rudeness. On the other hand, a new employee went out of his way to assist us, providing excellent service.

I used to go to the location on 3rd st because it was closer even though my experiences there were sub-par at best. But I was passing by this 1st st location and stopped in for some materials I needed to make patio furniture. I had a much better experience! Everyone I talked to sent me to the right departments and went the extra mile to answer my questions.

Shout out to Jackson in drive through who worked with me on my dimensions and even cut materials to the perfect size! I’m very pleased and will now go the extra mile to drive here instead ✌️

Well trained, well spoken, staff. The biggest stock of any franchise because it is privately owned. Quiet and peaceful store without any if the loud beeping and noisy PA systems. I will drive out of my way to this particular Rona.

Mark B is the manager. I was Frustrated after the can of stain wasnt able to open (an employee had a hard time opening it too and put it in another container) and now dried up. Stains are very expensive too.
Went to the store and talked to Mark right away. He never questioned me, he instead helped me to find a replacement.
I was sooo thankful to have encountered an amazing man, perfect as a manager. Lucky store to have him.
