I have to admit that working with Archway for my visitation with my 3 small children was excellent. As time progressed more and more rules were implemented. Now Archway says it was the social worker, and when the social worker was confronted on the issue I was made aware it was there rules for visitation. Now the problem is that one of the two is not being honest. They all say they have the best interest of the children in mind but what I have endured is the complete opposite. The negligence in wanting to reunite a family should make you want to run away from this organization. Promises for helping with housing and increasing visits has never happened. This whole ordeal was made worse when my wife passed away. It is in your best interest to steer clear of their so called help.

I got a call today from the Community advocate at this organization. Before this advocate knew the entire case in dispute she rushed in to defend the landlord, a well known slumlord.

While it is wise to have renter's insurance, a lot of poor people can't afford it, and unless a landlord requires it, you don't have to have it. Having tenants insurance is not something that should be chosen unless you can afford it.

I'm betting this advocate is lucky enough to be a landlord.
Having spoken to the RTA, the idea that if a tenant doesn't have renter's insurance he or she's out of luck, is ludicrous.

The best thing to do in a case of loss where the landlord cites your lack of insurance as being your fault. Go to civil court , you can do that a number of ways, the best being to seek a compensation amount beyond the scope of the RTA. ($ 35,000.00 is the maximum compensation via RTB )

As well let's stop supporting these charties who pay big money to people who are completely out of touch with reality.

Omg. I can't rave about archway more!

When I was feeling alone and uneducated about my pregnancy archway welcomed me with open arms. I have to say I am very grateful for the programs they run and the support I gained. They have endless resources and the facilitators are next level amazing. Along with the drop in classes I've been taking family education as well and I am very impressed with the structure and the knowledge they share. I feel so empowered and supported. I can't thank Archway enough for helping me thru the first months of my babies birth along with keeping my post partum anxiety at bay.

I really really appreciate what archway has done for me this past year.

I usually come to this office since I arrived here in Canada year 2018, from then on they never failed me to give an excellent service. From front desk to whoever officer I needed an advice. I really appreciate it. I feel bad to those people who comes here and didn't felt same as I do or dismayed with the service they received. But as for me, this office serves a big part in the community. Thank you Archway.
