Excellent store, checked Rona+, Canadian Tire, Home Depot, none had the shovel I was looking for, but this beautiful store did. Nice people, nice looking store. Should be anyone's first stop for home hardware.

I bought a Broil King BBQ Canadian made in Waterloo, Ontario. A$1355.00 purchase and paid for it. The sales staff told me they would put it together and give me a call when it was assembled. In two days. I got a call the next day that the unit was ready they had assembled it. This was a lie! They had moved the floor model and were going to give me that one instead! I told them I wanted a new one to which the manager said I would have to take the floor model because they do not put BBQ units together unless you pay for it! All home hardware stores assemble their BBQ’s. Another lie by the manager! A sign came with the unit saying it comes with a free cover. The manager did not want to honour that either. It said she would order one and clearly there were several covers on the shelf - another lie! I would not recommend this store . And I would certainly not ever do business with Michelle the store manager. She is rude and untrustworthy and unprofessional.

Don’t waste your time if you need anything for eavestrough as they don’t stock a single piece.
Hard to shop local if the local option doesn’t keep anything on hand.

We had an appointment yesterday and they cancelled without any notification or even an attempt at a phone call. I had been in with my sister to see them over a month ago because we were planning on getting a full renovation of our kitchen. We went over some aspects and were very specific about certain parts, including there would be SOME cabinet resurfacing needed to match the NEW cabinets we would want from them and the potential of a new breakfast nook (pictures of the kitchen were shown to these effects). We had heard good things about this place, but clearly, that was not the case since their new renovations and changes. They were nice initially, but my sister wrote her email and phone number down for them, and they just made up the email based on her first and last name, rather than what was written and verbally said by my sister. That could be partially excused, but they never bothered to even phone the number she left (she has a voicemail, and they never left one). They informed us yesterday at 10:50 AM, when we called them to confirm the time of our appointment, that they had decided to cancel because they didn’t offer to resurfacing any more and didn’t want to order a cabinet if they weren’t allowed to install it themselves (which is exactly what we wanted them to do so I don’t understand why that was even a reason—it sounds like they just wanted to cancel since they didn’t think our project was expensive enough since they didn’t get full details and none of their reasons for cancelling on us were really valid. We still don’t really know the actual reason for the cancellation, as it sounds like it was on their end). They had been the ones to offer resurfacing in the first place; that was never our idea. We completely understand services can change, and there is no issue with that (given it was never our idea in the first place), but given this project is far more than resurfacing and that it was verbalised, the lack of listening and comprehension skills and absence of communication is an issue. Had they been upfront, professional and honest, we would have been disappointed but understanding. Instead, they chose to be unprofessional and disorganised. We would not recommend a place with such poor documentation and communication for a project so big. There are many other kitchen places to use. In fact, many contractors will do a way better job than this. Contact them instead. And I’ve noticed every negative review about a kitchen gets the response “this information is false” yet Google doesn’t remove the reviews. Google is excellent at removing false reviews, they side with the business owner first, so you can bet those reviews are as true as this one. Make your own choices, but definitely shop around first. This place isn’t worth the risk to us.
