After injuring my back and floundering through 6 months of exercising with poor results and continually aggravating my back, I was at a total loss. I had gone to chiropractors, physiotherapists, Athletic therapists and RMT’s and had little success.

Coach Oskar put together a program for me based on the Ido Portal method (a lot of calisthenics) and “re-wired” my musculature and how my whole body worked together as a unit.

Now I’ve done MMA styles, played sports and weight trained the majority of my adult life but under this program I’ve gained so much strength, mobility and flexibility. I’ve never been stronger or felt better! It took me three months of tedious work on things I didn’t think were necessary but I gave into Oskar’s guidance as I thought I didn’t have anything to lose and the results were amazing. Oskar has forever changed the way I train and I look forward to working with him in the future.

I honestly wish I started with him earlier. If you’re a beginner, it’s perfect for you! Even if you’re an existing athlete with lots of training, Oskar’s training can make tremendous difference!!

I've been training with Oskar on and off for about 4 years. At this point, it feels as if I'm writing this review about a family member. He really gets to know you, and pushes you past every barrier you unknowingly place upon yourself. I suffered a serious shoulder injury in a fall and I was able to continue training through it, because Oskar was able to tailor my workouts to rehabilitate my shoulder and make sure I didn't lose strength in other areas. When I first started training with Oskar my goals were to build up upper body strength, I had what you would call T-Rex arms. Since then, I've managed to climb the gym rope, do unassisted pull-ups, push-ups (no longer from the knees), hand stands against a wall, and I'm well on my way to being able to hold the crow/frog stand. With Oskar's help, through strength and mobility training, as well as focusing on the proper form for every single exercise we've done, he's helped me to avoid injury and assist in real life situations. I have so many stories about how being fit because of Oskar has helped but the ones that come to mind now are when I had to carry my sleeping 8 year old son through an airport with a fully loaded knapsack, or dead lifting my parents' heavy teak bed so they could adjust the rug underneath it.
My boyfriend was apprehensive of me training with Oskar at first, but after witnessing the benefits I reaped from his movement-centric training methods he decided to give it a try and is now one of Oskar's clients as well!

Started training with Oskar 2 months ago twice a week, and there is absolutely no looking back. Came to him weak, lazy, and out of shape. Needed some motivation to get back into the gym routine so I decided to have some personal training sessions. These are the first personal training sessions I have ever had with any trainer in my life. From the moment we started, he pointed out my weaknesses without me even mentioning it first. Hip flexibility and upper body strength are things I have struggled with my whole life. He created each session with specific goals in mind . Each exercise was tailored to improve my stiff hips and weak upper-body. In two months I went from not even being able to do 5 sets of 5 reps of bodyweight pull-ups, to being able to complete 5 sets of 5 reps with an extra 15 pound weight on. On top of the goals he has set for me and has helped me accomplish; he is also a good friend to be around. I find myself enjoying my sessions, because when I'm finished my workout, I can have honest and whole-hearted conversations about anything and everything with Oskar. For me this was important, to not only be able to improve my physical goals, but to have a personal trainer who is a friendly person with a humble attitude. You're the man Oskar!

I have been training with Oskar for almost two years, but it feels like I’ve known him longer.
Oskar is very client oriented – when you’re training with him, he is with you 100%. You are encouraged to ask questions. He believes in the power of positive body movement, of knowing your body, and pushing your limits in a productive way. He knows when to push you and when to pull back – encouraging you to listen to your body so you know the difference between too far, and when you’re just feeling tired or uninspired to perform. He knows the drills he assigns back to front so he’s able to customize them to account for specific muscle weakness or injury. The end goal is improvement, but there is more than one road to get there, and he is willing to try them all with you until you find something that works.
Communication is effortless, whether it’s clarification on what you’re doing and why it benefits you, or if you’ve had a bad day and need to hear something positive.
Oskar demonstrates professionalism, extensive knowledge, and commitment to his clients. He provides the foundation for success in your health and fitness goals. He truly practices what he preaches, it is not uncommon to come into the gym and see him working on his own goals. He shares with you the struggle of being truly dedicated to constantly bettering himself, personally and professionally.
I would recommend training with Oskar to anyone who is looking for a fun, friendly, knowledgeable trainer who is geared up for your success as much as you are!

I have a crazy-busy life. No, seriously....I DO. I'm balancing a corporate career with regular business travel and an active volunteer schedule outside of work. I was a gym rat for a long time and I thought I had a reasonable level of fitness. I was wrong. A job change meant I had to find a new place to work out - and ~18 months ago someone suggested I try 5 sessions with Oskar. I was skeptical. Never thought I would be one of those people who say "according to my trainer..." I cannot say enough good things about how my strength, flexibility and mobility have improved as a result of his thoughtful and challenging programs. I know each workout is designed with my goals in mind. The program changes every 6 weeks to keep me motivated and challenged. Plus, I enjoy his company...we laugh as much as we train. It's a good thing as we spend 3 hours per week together! It's a 360 holistic approach - I can say without hesitation he has a genuine interest in my success. He's become a trusted advisor and friend. To me, that that speaks volumes. So what are you waiting for? Give it a go - you will not regret it.

I've been working with Oskar for about 10 months now. His unique methods and approach to fitness have benefitted me greatly. More so than any type of exercise or activity I've ever taken part in.

It's tough work, Oskar is strict without being detrimental to my training and enthusiasm. He has the right mix of toughness and keeping things fun and enjoyable. This combination keeps me engaged and challenged. His strictness ensures that I leave a session or class with a sense of accomplishment because he knows how to get the best out of me.

Some of the things that Oskar has been a huge help with are the following:

Strength: I couldn't even do a chin-up when I started working with Oskar. Now I can do them on the rings with ease.

Mobility: I have a long way to go. But the improvements I've made in the last year have been so beneficial to the other activities I take part in. For example:

- Muay Thai: my kicks are so much faster and so much harder. I can throw them from all angles and have so much more control and range.

- Boxing: my reach is probably about an inch longer. My shoulders move more fluidly, more power, speed and versatility with my punches are a result of the shoulder work we do.

- Cardio: this might sound stupid but let me explain. I feel my body moves much more fluidly. It takes less effort to do everything. Less energy expended means I can move more and thus my cardio has improved this year.

- Greater Durability: I haven't been injured this year. No nagging pains or stiffness that would keep me out of the gym. I can train until 9pm one night and be right back in here training hard 8 hours later with no issues or ill affects. I always feel loose.

- Weight loss: I've dropped about 20lbs during this time. More muscle means and better cardio means a higher metabolism and greater fat loss. It's helped me train harder and I've lost weight.

I am a 46 year old business owner with three young children and a wife. I have training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 3.5 years (3 days a week). As someone who has been active my entire life and has worked with other personal trainers in the past, I realised that I need guidance when my weight continued to creep up every year along with my blood pressure. I suffered an injury during one of my classes and decided it was time to call in Oskar. This was in November of 2014. 10 months later (working with him 2x per week) my fitness and body mechanics have improved to the point where I am able to grapple aggressively without any fear of injury due to conditioning issues. My blood pressure has gone down as has my weight and body fat percentage. Oskar has worked with me to improved my cardio, lean muscle mass and flexibility and we know this because he documents every single day we train together. All of my improvements and hard work are meticulously transcribed into his book so that he can adjust my workouts weekly to find new ways to challenge me and to find sticking points that require more attention. There are many personal trainers that you can hire but in my opinion you want one that focuses 100% of the session on you and your needs. If you are serious about wanting to improve your life, whatever your goals are, make an appointment to meet him and see the kind of person you will be spending your hard earned money and time with. You will be amazed at how forthright and earnest he is in his approach with his clients. They love him because he cares about them and their goals. I sincerely recommend him to anyone who wants to work hard but needs someone to provide them with a well executed and personalized strategy for their success.

I decided to work with Oskar to deal with some long term muscular pain in my lower back. I was tired of it interfering with the things I enjoyed and used to be able to do easily. Under his guidance and following his instruction I’ve had great success improving strength and flexibility which has kept the pain from returning.

Oskar has the patience and knowledge to get you beyond your comfort zone while at the same time making sure that you do not hurt or re-injure yourself. I strongly recommend working with Oskar to achieve your health and wellness goals.
