In the past three years, my family has had three funerals to arrange, all with Gray's Funeral Chapel. In all three experiences, we have been treated with the utmost in compassion, professionalism and courtesy. The facilities are second to none. The prices were very competitive. We know because we did comparisons. When we were making arrangements there was never any pressure to "upsell" services that were not necessary. On the contrary, we were given less expensive options to consider, unlike anecdotes that we have heard from others who had less positive experiences. A time of grieving is a time for sensitivity to people's needs. We can honestly say that the staff at Gray's provided that sensitivity to our needs. We have no hesitation to recommend their services to any one.
PS 18 April 2023. Since my original posting, I understand that Gray’s Funeral Home has changed ownership. They are now owned by Arbor Memorial rather than by a locally owned proprietor. I can no longer vouch for the very excellent level of service that had prompted my original review. I can no longer maintain my original five star rating. I no longer have anything current with which to rate them.
