I went here to finish my education after a very difficult mental health issue. My teacher was extremly kind to me and made sure I was comfortable, always sitting close enough if I needed her, asking how I was, class was pretty much empty so it was a very safe and comforting space for me and not overwhelming. It was homeschooled booklet work for the most part with tests and exams in class which was so much better for me.

The only reason I docked 2 stars was because I had to wait till I was 18 to sign up and start even tho on the website and originally was told, i could start right away because the starting age is 16. That annoyed me because I had to wait. I'm also still waiting for my diploma. I was told I'm legally graduated BUT I was refused my physical diploma sadly and never heard anything more about it 😔

I can see why some reviews say what they do about the school but it really become the experience that you expect it to be. So say; I don't want to be there and I have no interest in attending because school is pointless and boring, then it's going to be that way. If you don't meet the staff half way and ask for help, then you won't get that help that you need. Over all this place has helped a lot with my education anxiety, I actually look forward to going into class and getting things done in those classes. I dropped out in my home province due to not having the proper help and not having a resource like this when I was the 'right' age.

TLDR, if you don't try to make it good for yourself it won't be good.

They turned an unneeded highschool into an adult learning centre. It's great. Beautiful school, small classes. I'm getting my PSW certificate there atm in a 5 month course that is paid for by epc here in town. If you're willing, there is so much help here in Peterborough. Why people are homeless is beyond me when they can do so much with their lives if hey try. Go to PACE!

It's one of the oldest schools in Peterborough.
It's not a regular school you would attend - you need to be 18 years and older.
They also have a daycare for those student parents with kids.
They teach a lot of languages too for the various ethnic backgrounds.

What an incredible School. It changed me in more ways then, just earning my (Adult) Highschool Diploma. The staff are amasing, each member of the faculty is unique, and experienced in the subject they teach. They are a rare group ❤Teachers, supportive , they really do care about each student. Just like the name implies .It is a place were ,you have the room to live life, and complete ones studies, at your PACE.

Their regestration process here is a complete hastle you get wrong information over the phone. I came in when i was told to and got send out because they were full (i was the only person there) i dont understand this i am motivated to rerurn to school but i am left waiting again. They say its at my pace but its on their time only when they feel like it. School is to help people wanting to be successful in life and i feel they are not doing this at all i have regestered before and it takes less than 15 minutes. I drove 20 mintes there just to have to go back home when they told me to come in. What a complete waste of my time and gas. Anyone should be able to walk in and at least leave with an appointment, not disappointment. I am ready to learn now not when they feel like i am ready. I do appreiciate the school itself but their system is not right at all. Being educated should not be a hastle thanks for the steering me wrong P.A.C.E.

First of all, I didn't even have work until the second week of school. I almost was not gonna go back as I am very bored at school. (Who isn't?) But, the worst part is that I didn't even have my timetable until the second week of school, either. I just can't with this school. If i could give a negative review I would.

*Actual review for the current establishment, not for what the (amazing) building once was*

Every time I've gone by here to do something for my adult education it's been a bunch of standing around waiting on people who don't seem to know what they're looking for; to wait on or fight with a computer in dire need of assistance in itself.

Only after becoming frustrated with those and other questionable methods wasting any time you may be intending to save do you get the icing on the cake of constantly being treated by all staff in all interaction as another 'off the rails' kid who could snap at any time. I get a large portion of individuals who may frequent the establishment are in-line with such behavior but I genuinely haven't been so frustrated with how a group of staff spoke to and/or treated me sense I left school in 2011.

Glad to be moving out of the area at the end of the month...
