Trent-Severn Waterway, Lock 34 - Fenelon Falls - Kawartha Lakes, Ontario

A great place to visit. One can watch boats pass through the historic Trent Severn Waterway's lock 34 which is active. The viewing platform offers great view, depicting the operations of lock system and water channel. Plenty of parking spaces available at designated parking locations. You can also visit and enjoy the falls which is nearby. There are many restaurants nearby offering delicious food. There are playgrounds as well as activities for kids and they would love it !!!

Lovely town, with shops, and is close to many trails and other little towns
Was only there for a short trip but will be back to enjoy Lindsey and the surrounding areas. We were surprised to see the Crayola factory had no idea it was there.

Nice place. We actually overnighted two nights here as the weather was threatening. The kids enjoyed the free wifi at Tim Hortons. The beach was a hit and we enjoyed wandering about.

This is one of the most beautiful small town in Kawartha lakes. You can find it is well worth to drive to here just for strolling, picnic or the museum. Every shot around here would be just a picturesque one.

One of the only waterfalls I have ever seen that is this size, aside from Niagara Falls which I have only seen once, this waterfall I have grown up with and it's been a pretty nice part of my life, just remember two very important things from one local to another 😀, don't swim anywhere near it, and no, I don't just mean at the base of it, I mean at the top either, the Hydro Forbay is a no go, the Flow Control Gates are computer controlled and will open depending on electrical demand on the grid, so you don't want to be sitting there when one of them opens or else you will get sucked under like a goldfish in a toilet.

Also, while not near as dangerous, the other Forbay definitely used to be a forbay and had and may still have channels that lead to the old Hydro Plant that you could fall into, either way, it's fences off which means that your not supposed to go in there.

Most of the cool kids in town always used to swim at the Rail Bridge, you can Jump off it and have a real blast, but make sure to do it properly, (I don't know how to do it properly because I saw some guy skin the bottom of his foot of doing it once, and vowed to never do try it or anything like it ever, under any circumstances 😀) so always remember, being safe is better than being paralyzed 😆😆😄.

Next up, if you really want to have some fun, then consider doing some cliff jumping, I hear it's a great way to get a rush. Just make sure to give it a good run when you jump, and if you at all don't want to do it, THEN DON'T!!, your life is more valuable than some stupid dare 😤, be a rebel, do what no one expects you to do, don't ever take a dare, and you'll live till you're 130 😆

Well, as you can see, I am not much of a risk taker, at least not with my health, my computer and the programs I install, yes, my phone and the apps I install, yes, my heath? No, never, simply not going to risk living in a wheelchair for the rest of my life.
