A Perfect Lakeside Getaway!
We drove from the States for the Independence long weekend to stay at this beautiful lakefront cottage to have a family getaways with our families from Canada. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The views of the lake were absolutely stunning. The cottage itself was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay beds.

We loved spending time on the deck, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere and watching the wildlife. The private access to the lake was a huge plus—perfect for morning coffee by the water, swimming, or kayaking. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed.

This place is a hidden gem, and I’m already looking forward to returning. Whether you're looking for a romantic weekend, a family trip, or just some time to unwind in nature, this cottage has it all. Highly recommended!

We drove for about 200 kms to this place and was excited to spend the Canada Day long weekend at the purported “newly renovated”cabin. In reality, here is what we walked into (see attached pictures). While we were trying to unpack, our young kids (2 and 8 years old) walked right into the construction zone with construction tools plugged in. Thank goodness the kids didn’t think to play with the tools. Then the host came and said because we arrived late, they figured they might as well take the additional time to do some extra renovations and that it was nothing as they could just take 15 mins to clean the mess up. First, I messaged the host early in the morning to ask about early check-in and followed up with a few more messages. I did not get any response from the host so had no idea about where the “arriving late” claim came from. Second, yes, it might only take 15 mins to remove the wood, the trash, the ladder and construction tools, but what about all the surfaces that were fully covered with construction dust? The kitchen cabinet was wide open and all kitchenware was fully exposed to dust, not to mention the sofa chairs and all furniture surfaces. Nothing was protected from construction dust. If the host had made a proper gesture by offering a thorough and proper cleaning with our lost time compensated, we might have given the situation a second thought. Unfortunately, the host insisted 15 mins were good enough as they were “professional” and that we were the ones who didn’t have proper expectations on cabins. We go to cabins every summer and have never ever been asked to stay at a construction spot before.

This is the second time we visited this charming place recently. Our family stayed in this cozy cottage 4 years ago. We had a great time for the first visit, and the second visit didn't disappoint us. It was super clean and had everything we needed. The hosts did lots of renovations and make this cottage more comfortable. They were easy to communicate and responded quicky when we had any questions. It was a great and relaxing escape for us. And we'll definitely come back again!

I got to stay in the most adorable and cozy cottage. I was already so pleased before I even stepped in the door. The outside is truly charming and inviting. The inside was welcoming and clean. Even though this is the smaller size of the cottages offered, it is still just the right amount of space. A nice mini kitchen area with a nice size counter top open to a sweet living room space, with a futon and cable TV. Off this room is the bathroom and bedroom. Truly an enjoyable place to stay. And the owners are beyond hospitable and kind.

very beautiful scene right outside the cottages. The lake is just across the road. There's kayak, canoe and paddle boat to use. The hosts are very kind couple and are super helpful. Decent distance from Toronto. Overall a great place to get away during weekends.

The cottage was a very nice cottage. Very comfortable beds and the water pressure in the shower was good with has sufficient warm water. The cottage was very clean. I loved being close to the water. We were able to go sit by the water and swim. I loved that there was a bbq and firepit available to us. It was really quiet and peaceful. The hosts were super nice, kind and hospitable. I wish we could spend more time there. I hope to come back real soon! Thank you for having us as your guests! 🤩

Do not rent! Unless they tier down the place and rebuild it!
I rented cabin #2, but 2 days later, she emailed me back saying someone else was going to stay at that cabin until the end of month and offered me cabin #3 , I agreed as long it was suitable for 4 people. (She replied that it was the same)
Imagine you book a week vacation to go away 2 hours away from home with family during March Brake, and when you arrive, you find a dump place 2 hours before check-in... There's no way it could be cleaned 2 hours before the time they way we found it!
She apologized and tried to help us by offering hotels nearby or a neighbor that rents closed to the area and oferred the full refund....
Do your search and check the reviews before booking. I booked for the first and last time through verbro...
