If I can give this teacher 0 stars I would: The grade 11 math teacher Mrs. Gala is by far the worst teacher I’ve ever had. She goes through longggg math problems super fast without explaining anything and you have to write everything down as she’s going through the tutorials super fast and try to catch up and could care less if you get it or not. When it’s time to take up the questions she tells one of the student to write it down on the board without any explanation at all and leaves you to figure it out for yourself. Also, when you are solving math problems she doesn't want to help you, you will have to figure it out with the person beside you even though you don’t know them. She keeps telling you “you need to recall” like you’ve only recently left math class a month ago when you actually haven’t been in math for 5+ years especially if you don’t like math in the first place. When it’s time to take up the math problems she doesn’t write it down or go through it she just expects you to get it and people drop out of the class so fast & there’s only a few people that do know a good amount of math that will answer right away & you will feel so low and dumb about yourself for not knowing because she didn’t even go through it. Whenever I did decide go up to her and ask for help she would give me this look like she doesn’t want to help or look irritated all the time. For my culminating assignment she gave it to me BEFORE we learned about it and I had to redo the whole thing because I was unaware if we were going to learn it or not. She also gives the test review a day before the test so you can’t ask her any questions because you need to complete it for homework if you don’t finish it in class and she will not stay back after school to help you. She lied to me when I asked if I could take a picture of the test review to study over the weekend, but when it came to the day before the test, I asked her if it was that what I studied for over the weekend and she said no. I regret not reporting her to the school. I hope this helps anyone make their decision easier about having her as a teacher.

The amount of daily breakdowns I had during this period was very bad for my mental health. If anyone has her please don’t be afraid or intimidated to speak up if you have any questions it is her job to teach or just do yourself a favour and drop out.

This school is a good school however depending on the class you are in there are some good friendly teachers out there.

Review for Mrs. Gala (Grade 10 Math Teacher)

Mrs. Gala is, without a doubt, the most ineffective and disinterested teacher I’ve ever encountered. She exhibits a blatant lack of passion for her job and shows no willingness to teach or engage with her students. It’s painfully obvious that she plays favorites, providing attention only to those students who already have a strong grasp of the subject, leaving the rest of us to struggle on our own.

Her teaching style (if you can even call it that) is almost nonexistent. She makes no effort to explain concepts clearly or support students who are trying to learn. If you’re struggling, don’t expect any help—she simply doesn’t care. Her laziness is astounding, and it’s clear she has no interest in fulfilling her role as an educator.

While I acknowledge that learning requires effort on the student’s part, it’s impossible to thrive in a class where the teacher is unwilling to do her job. Despite my best attempts to learn, Mrs. Gala’s lack of support and guidance left me with a failing grade.

If you’re looking for a teacher who genuinely cares about their students’ success and creates an environment conducive to learning, Mrs. Gala is NOT that teacher. Avoid her class at all costs if you want a fair chance at succeeding in math.

Had the pleasure of speaking with 3 wonderful ladies, trying to find information on part time schooling available for adults.
All 3 of them were very eager to transfer me to another department to avoid helping or answering questions. And the last one spoke in a very condescending tone. Not sure what they are all so angry about 🤔
Quite concerning that these folks are the forefront of the adult education system in Toronto.

Ms sung Kim, one of the best teacher that taught me and many students, excellent communicating with students, treat everyone equally and fairly, making sure all of her students understands and making the class active so no one gets bored and sleepy, ms SUNG(maths teacher for adult), the same goes to ms NICKOLEALI(olc and business teacher for adult) and ms Lori (counsellor)

Hello everyone.
I joined the school in 2022 but was the best experience ever. The student service is always in a position to help students with there needs. They respond o all emails on time , staffs as well are hardworking and ready to help. I never regret choosing this school as a new comer. tanks to all the friends and staffs i the school for the excellent humanity.
