It’s hard to articulate how fortunate I feel to have found the incredible team at Arthur Murray North York. I started out terrified of dancing and looking to survive mandatory social dances; a mere three months later and I’m obsessively looking for excuses to spend more time on the dance floor!

From day one, I was deeply impressed by the ease with which Nichole and Andrea made me comfortable in what I thought would be a terrifying environment. Their technical ability is incredible, only matched by their outstanding teaching skills. After just a few lessons, they completely nailed my personal learning style, adapted their teaching accordingly, and I’m now improving faster than I ever thought possible.

Best of all? I am having so much FUN. The instructors (and the rest of the students) make learning to dance an absolute joy. I’ve got a smile on my face from the moment I walk through the doors until hours after I’ve left!

Six years ago, I was someone who had the proverbial "two left feet": I couldn't move to music to save my life. But I had always wanted to learn how to dance in order to connect with the people around me. After learning some very basic steps at a New Year's Eve gala at a conference, the desire to learn more grew in me and I remembered that I lived near the Arthur Murray studio in North York. After some initial research into the company's history and reputation (100+ years in the business!), I signed up for the no obligation sample lesson with the view of coming for a couple of months to learn some basics and go on my way.

Fast forward six years....I write this today as someone who learned some basics and got much, much more:

I went to Arthur Murry Dance Studio as a beginner. I did not have confidence to dance in public. They have really amazing instructors who inspire me to become good at dancing. They helped me to stay motivated. They support me throughout till I become better at dancing. Arthur Merry Dance studio is a pleased environment with friendly staff who are supportive and make all attempts for us to achieve our goals there. They also have Friday parties that are amazing programs in which you can dance and find life time friends in. They offer many activities including trips to nice places with dance showcases and dance competitions.

A great dance instructor must inspire you to become better at dancing. You can only do so if you stay motivated. Your dance teacher must support you throughout until you succeed.

We came to learn how to do our first dance for our wedding, and our instructor Jocelyn was great. She helped us become better dancers, and gave us confidence to put on a good show for our guests. She put together a routine that matched our song very well. She would watch and comment on every move we made, to make sure we were doing everything correctly and that it looked good. As well, the rest of the staff was friendly and supportive if we asked for help or had any questions. Great place to learn how to dance!

I've been taking dance classes at Arthur Murray North York Studio for just over 2 years now, and it truly is my second home. It's such a lovely light filled studio.The whole atmosphere is very positive and welcoming. All the teachers and staff are so kind and supportive, that no matter what level of experience you have going in, you never feel put down or out of place.
I have the pleasure of being taught by Dmytro and Paul, who are both extremely talented dance instructors and bring their strong passion for dance onto the floor.
