The two times I've come in to purchase something, they were out of stock. The first time I could understand because it's was a few weeks before school started but the second time, it was 3 months after school started. And when I did come in to pick up my items that had to be ordered in, the items couldn't be found in the back. Either it was accidentally sold to someone else or given to someone else? The prices seem a little high for clothes for my 4 yr old considering how small his clothes are compared to what I can find out in retail stores of a similar color and design. I wish I could just buy the school patches and see them on myself to the shirts and sweaters. Aside from all that, another review mentioned that the staff are young and aren't very helpful, but I've had no issues. Even though the don't seem adequately staffed, I was still able to find someone to help me and had no issues with their ability to help me. And as for the items that I ordered that they lost, they did order it again for me and still managed to get it in on tim, though when they went to look for it on the back, they couldn't find it initially. The had the name or info mixed up or something but I'm just glad it was resolved.

The staff at ISW Oakville were so helpful. I was able to get both my girls school uniforms for the school year picked out and paid for in 15 minutes. Very helpful and friendly, and they were super sweet dealing with my kids as well

I have never complained on a review site before, however my degree of frustration and dissatisfaction has led me to do so now. The quality of the product and the purchasing experience is sorely lacking compared to McCarthy's. Items ordered weeks ago, which we were assured would arrive last week, are not in yet and school starts in two days. The availability of several items was reduced or non-existent, when in the store two weeks ago. Two staff were working and they both provided different information around the required items of clothing which caused several minutes of confusion before one realized she was wrong. My daughter has particularly long legs and barely fits into the longest size yoga or youth pants. Several items seemed to fit oddly, bagging in certain areas and pulling in others. I am not sure what we will do when she grows a little more. They said she would likely need to go into adult dress pants as her only option but the fit on these looks so uncomfortable I am loathe to ask her to wear them. To top it all off, our bill was more than I have ever paid at McCarthy's and for less items of clearly poorer quality.

Our school switched from McCarthy to ISW this year. While their pricing is a little better, their service is terrible. We went a couple of weeks before school, the place was packed and there was only one staff member on the floor (Oakville location) - I couldn't believe it. The line ups were quite long. The place is disorganized. (At McCarthy's we had a personal shopper - yes, you had to wait your turn for your shopper - but they took care of you completely.) ISW is like a school uniform rummage sale - you hope you can get the one person on the floor to give you a 2 second overview and point you in the right direction, and then you rummage through all the tousled sizes and hope you get lucky. Of course as most of us know, ISW ran out of supply. I had to place several pieces on back order and when I called at the end of the first week of school no one answered the phone (I tried a couple of times.) ...we are now at the end of the second week of school, I called again, no answer... one more time... no answer. Forget it, I got in my car and drove over - what did I see? A nearly empty store with 4 staff members chatting (right near the phone) at the front desk. (At least I can say when I approached the counter I was promptly attended to and had no hassle returning the one remaining back-ordered item; all of my other items were there. Of course, when they were placed on back order I was told they would call me when all pieces arrived, but that I could call to check and see if a partial was on site. Again that would mean they have to pick up the phone.) On my way out I grabbed my cell to see if maybe - just maybe, they couldn't hear the phone? No, it rang loud and clear and not one of them moved to answer it! I hung up and called back - again, no one answered. One of the staff looked around the store and met me in the eye, (but did not answer the phone) I could not believe my eyes! In the time I was in the store they did not receive one call - so it isn't a case of the phone ringing off the hook, they just could not be bothered to answer it. I find this totally unacceptable, especially with the back orders they've imposed. The very least you could do as a supplier is pick up the phone to save your customers' time and gas. (I would have been so much more irritated if none of my back ordered items were there and I had driven over.) I will certainly find out what kind contract the school has signed with this provider. They should not be our only option! No - I would NOT recommend ISW.

Where should I begin..this company has very poor quality of clothing, terrible service and overly priced uniforms. I had perchased from McCarthy last year, and the pieces of clothing still look great even after being worn for over a year. I had bought from ISW a few months ago and every thing I bought looks terrible and worn out. I bought a zip up and the zipper broke in the first wash, the pants have faded to a dull black (the McCarthy ones look better after a year of being used) the pants get so linty from the top near the waist area. If it was possible, I would give a zero star. The staff was friendly but very unorganized. I have to go in myself to check if my order had come.(McCarthy did shipping) it was a waste of time and gas. They don’t bother picking up the phone, overall very unorganized. The clothes are very expensive compared to the quality. The school board really needs to change the company.

What an utterly terrible experience. Yes, I left shopping until the last minute, as did MANY parents. I expected the lines and wait times; what I did not expect was for them to be OUT OF STOCK!!! I could only find ONE size 5/6 unisex t-shirt (I needed more than one), there were no long sleeves (in either colour), and no sweaters at all! The staff were useless (may help to hire adults instead of teenagers when this is your first time servicing such a high number of customers), I had one guy helping me and would start helping others while in the middle of helping me. He couldn't find me any shirts (the one I found was after I dug through all the mess on the shelves). They told me to order the rest online, and that it "may" come before school starts. To that I replied "So kids are supposed to go to school naked?!". ISW is SO underprepared, they should have stock on the shelves, ESPECIALLY at this super busy time of year! So I tried to order online, and you have to enter your childs' measurements before you can even begin to order! This was *so* helpful when it suggested both a size 2 t-shirt and a size 13 long sleeve (my child is a size 5/6). Then when I tried to place my order, they payment system wasn't working. I called the store and they said I should come in to order.... I was just there YESTERDAY and they said I should order online! In addition to all of this, the clothing fits terribly. There shirts are short and box-y compared to McCarthy's that we longer and more slender. My son looked like he was wearing a diaper in their pants. I ended up buying him pants from Children's Place (FYI: pants are on sale for about $10 now - 3 pairs for the price of one at ISW!!). What a disaster, I wish the school board had stuck with McCarthy's who knew how to properly run a business.

Hardly anything in stock at the store. Ordered uniforms 4 weeks ago. The girl working at the store said they get deliveries every day but until today no one has called me back to say that my orders have arrived. My daughter starts JK next Friday! For the past week or two, the line goes straight to voicemail when you call them and their voicemail box is full. Unbelievable.

ZERO stars for ISW Uniforms. They are unorganized and the staff are overworked and therefore, very rude and unfriendly or helpful. The uniform site locations are messy and chaotic. There are continuous line up. Items are always out of stock, whether you go in person or order online. The quality and fit of the uniform pieces are horrific. Bring back RJ McCarthy's! ISW is not capable of producing great uniforms for local schools in a timely manner. Even when you try to phone them for help, you can not get through and you can not leave a message. The phone mailbox if full. How ridiculous and unprofessional! Parents/Children do not have the time or patience for this uniform provider. They are also way overpriced! The school boards need to take a close look at ISW and get out any contract they have signed with them. Trust me, it will not improve over the years. You are kidding yourselves if you truly believe that. ISW is useless. Parents should not be forced to put up with them and should be able to purchase their uniform pieces anywhere - as long as the children are wearing the school uniform colours, that's all that should matter. Education isn't about a monopoly or dictatorship. It's about providing the best learning environment and a great foundation to our future generation. Enough with ISW. Time to fire them. They had a chance, and blew it!
